Picture alert!!! Almost all pictures are released now by Playmobil (I already provided the links for the upcoming pictures) and the best news ever: the sets will come in boxes!!! It also seems that the dining room will have 4 chairs!
...It's the smaller 'street' sets where I have gaps.
They trimmed baby's hair.
Do all the rooms fit in the large house I wonder? If my calculations are right they do if both children's bedrooms go in the attic (seen and not heard! ;D)

The floral print in the bathroom was originally printed. They trimmed baby's hair. The original baby looks more Victorian.
So, Playmobil plus may be is going to be partly a collectors' range?
It's a shame the Study 5310 didn't make the cut - the bureau in that set is a lovely piece.

I'm confused by what this means - they look identical to me?
Am I mistaken (I haven’t looked recently ) but didn’t the original 5300 have no stairs and you had to buy add-on sets?
I thought if you wanted to fit all the furniture you had to put in the stairway plugs giving you more floor space

May I have more please ….?
This is so great
Now we need more street vendors, hobos , tricycles, artists, photographers, vehicles, street lamp again , servants …….oh ya !
We can only hope!In the Victorian era, it was totally normal to have baby/toddler boys with longish hair and dresses. So the original is already non-binary.
The original baby was a girl. The modern one is non-binary. So you aren't quite correct about modernisation, Bolingbroke!

I'm even more intrigued by this url that cannot (yet?) be opened:
https://www.playmobil.de/mississippi-dampfer/70789.html
High on my Christmas list!
Oh wow, imagine if they really are dusting off prototypes?!
I mean: bml87 may be right or wrong with his urls: there is no way of telling yet.
Let's nip this in the bud – it was a (silly) joke of mine, Oliver!
Where on the playmobil site did you find these urls, bml87?
Someone at Amclicks (http://amclicks.org/foro/novedades-playmobil/nuevo-catalogo-playmobil-plus-2022/msg85793/#msg85793) discovered that the webpages for the products on the official Playmobil are already reserved! Which could indicate that the sets might go on sale before the end of the year.I discovered that this morning too! The circus sets are reserved already too :)
I did the research myself and these are the results for the German website (links can't be opened yet, though):
https://www.playmobil.de/nostalgisches-grosses-puppenhaus/70890.html => Nostalgic big dollhouse
https://www.playmobil.de/nostalgisches-kleines-puppenhaus/70891.html => Nostalgic small dollhouse
https://www.playmobil.de/children%27s-room/70892.html => Children's room
https://www.playmobil.de/babyzimmer/70893.html => Baby room
https://www.playmobil.de/wohnzimmer/70894.html => Living room
https://www.playmobil.de/badezimmer/70895.html => Bathroom
https://www.playmobil.de/gartenterrasse/70896.html => Garden and terrace

https://www.playmobil.de/kueche/70970.html => Kitchen

Would be nice to order the sets before Christmas!

My only worry is the quality of the plastic for the mansion. It'd be a travesty to bring this beautiful relic back, only to completely botch it up with bad materials. :'( I so wanna make a mega mansion.
Also, I don't the trick is gonna work for me. It keeps leading back to the "UUPS!" page.
Hold up…. CIRCUS?! THAT’S COMING BACK TOO?! :o
So far all revivals have been with a good quality of plastic, some people complain about the new plastic materials, but to be honest, I hardly notice the difference. At least with the Colorado Station, the Western Farm, the Western School, ... All were just perfect.
That's why I said only the links are reserved, nothing on the pages yet. Nevertheless, when the links and pictures are online (which is the case), it indicates the sets will go on sale soon.
There's a topic about the new circus, here (https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=17574.0) ;)
Do you know the age of that advert you posted, Macruran?
I'm afraid I don't, I just stumbled across it while googling wildly for PM Victorian images :-[
Just found out this news... I´m stunned, I had expected a Death Star or something for 2022 but not this... :o :o
After seeing that scan of the catalog page with prices, it's interesting to note that the piano player was reissued in 2017 for a full dollar less than they charged back in the 1990s. (It also lacked the rug, but hey, I'll live and hadn't really missed having it.)
The re-release is a tribute to our dear friend and master playmo creator Michael
(https://i.postimg.cc/0QZxc31z/14-AC5146-A474-4-A6-B-8-F20-5740-EBFDCB37.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
I'm betting the finials on the house will be the soft kind used on the FAO mini house, rather the original harder plastic.
As a child who managed to snap off 4 out the 5, soft plastic might have been useful  But seriously, it seems a weird thing to change
Evolution, survival of the fittest and all. If some idiot manages to do self harm with a playmo flag pole/spear/finial... I say... LET THEM. >:D
But…..are you willing to say the same thing for cats and dogs ? F-em ….survival of the fittest. If some company wants to make a potentially dangerous animal toy….it’s the idiot animal who self harmed themselves.
No. That is DIFFERENT.
Good morning dear Friends
As always, our Klickywelt Friends saw it first so a huge Thank You to them :thanks:
Here are the 2022 Victorian Theme Houses
Karim :gent:
Thanks to our Friend bml87, I went to Playmobil heaven this morning and have no intention to come back to earth anytime soon :cloud9:
Bet your wallet is in wallet-hell, along with everyone else's though... >:D
Wait, wallets have fully developed theologies?
I wonder how much the revived sets will be. They weren't cheap in the 90s.
A truly haunting thought.
And last but not least: let's hope that Playmobil is finally getting it:
1. A regular assortment that pleases everyone (but mostly children): happening right now
2. An attractive franchise assortment: we are getting there, I think they did really well on Scooby Doo, Heidi and the cars
3. A collector's assortment (within the PLUS assortment): happening right now, but there's still space for more
4. Still missing: an international website like Lego Ideas on which we can put our ideas and where people can vote for it.
I’m anticipating $175-ish mainly because I want as many as possible. Luckily this is not a licensed theme so it should go on the many many 25-35% off sales
but we all know what they think of us nutty, annoying, argumentative, opinionated, impossible to please, die hard collectors/fans.
On many fora I check regularly, there's much to do about the pricing for the Victorian sets, some are really aiming way too high in my opinion. Can we assume some sellers of the original parts / complete sets are getting nervous? From the moment the parts are available in the Parts Service, the value of the (original) second hand parts will (almost) be worthless?
Don't they exclude the Greek Gods from the 25% off sales? But I think it might be included depending on how it shifts, the Fairy Tale Castle 9879 is included in offers.
5. A cultural assortment, perhaps happening through museums etc.: happening right now, but there's still space for MUCH MUCH MORE ;D
Worthless , if that was the case I’d have mountains (oh wait I do) ok many many mountains of playmo
I guess in the end this also might have played in the decision of Playmobil the revive those iconic sets. If you see that resellers can ask 3x or 4x the price of the original product (and every week new mansions pop up on second hand websites): those are lost incomes for Playmobil itself. If you can bring the same product again on the market for a cheaper price, collectors and normal customers will definitely buy the new stuff.
Also... wondering.. what IS "playmobil plus"? Is it still to be hidden where nobody knows about it? Are they not gonna put the victorian reissues in the stores? Seriously?
I'm all for the reissues, though I wish they were in different colors (mostly because I have the originals :-[ ), but playmobil does NOT want money.
Also... wondering.. what IS "playmobil plus"? Is it still to be hidden where nobody knows about it? Are they not gonna put the victorian reissues in the stores? Seriously?
I know things vary from country to country, but certainly in the UK you have more chance of people seeing Playmobil online than in whatever toy shops still exist (ignoring the fact that they don't have to give the retailers a cut of things that they sell directly)
Playmobil Plus is the new name of Playmobil Direct Service, official since the first of January 2021, so not hidden ;)
4. Still missing: an international website like Lego Ideas on which we can put our ideas and where people can vote for it.
The pictures of the December releases have also been released now by Playmobil, click here (https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=17498.msg317658#msg317658).
=> Yet another indication that the Circus and Victorian sets could go on sale from December as well! Fingers crossed!
The link goes to a different playmofriends discussion, is that correct
The lamp posts would also be fantastic, but they must work! Sylvanian families did some lovely ones with their city theme but the light is rather dim. The playmobil ones were quite bright.
I remember the shell of the lamp post was re released some years ago and I bought a few. They were't much good without the working light-bulb :(. We didn't get the re release of the advertising pillar here in the UK. I remember looking at it longingly on Playmobil.de !!
Is the 4th photo of the smaller house flipped? I don't think there's an option to have the stairs on the right (because of the floor pieces).
Some prices are there as well, but I guess we all expected those prices ;)
Hi, The mansion was £100 in the UK in 1992. I got it on offer for about £67. I still remember how happy I was to get such a bargain! My girls (4yrs & 2yrs) got up at 4am on Christmas morning and tried to carry it into our bedroom! I didn't think to build it beforehand, so I ended up trying to build it while cooking dinner on Christmas day! It took about 8 hours. Bear that in mind, folks ;) xx
I didn't get the dollhouse until I was 8. I was left to assemble it unsupervised.
SO IT'S TRUE! :o
Got a reply of the DS: the Victorian sets will - normally - go on sale halfway December! ;D
On sale in two weeks?!*
*obviously hold out for the 25% January Sale

Rereading your reply and I got you now :D I guess you’re trying to say I used the meaning of “going on sale” wrong? My bad 8} but I assume you all know what I meant :-[
Those prices are cheap. Wasn't the big dollhouse $200 or thereabouts in the '90s?
Can someone confirm if this reiusse is Steck?
I ordered the three sets today, normally I’ll have them on Tuesday, I’ll let you know ;)
70971, the bedroom set, is in the German webshop (https://www.playmobil.de/schlafzimmer/70971.html#imageMain3) now at €19,99.
So anyway I'm buying this for ME ;D
Got the three room sets and the piano player. Will get the house after the Christmas rush. Really looking forward to them. My daughter is six and already making the transition to videogames. This will probably be a last hurrah :'( :'( They grow up so quickly.
A little note on that, is it just the Canadian site that has the majority of the product "unavailable" / please-click-here-and-we'll-let-you-know ??
Can someone confirm if this reiusse is Steck?
Hereby I confirm it is Steck! :wow:
But still no chance in the UK of getting spare parts from the new sets.
Got a reply from DS, spare parts for the Victorian sets should be available in 1 week. Not sure if this will be the case for UK as well?
Try again in the new year, Gordon (no chance before that) by sending an email to Customer Services with your list attached. They will do parts orders, despite what the uk website states.
And yes, this is a direct consequence of Brexit and everyone having to implement new export and customs procedures.

I wonder if later on they’ll reoffer the extra floor. Then again if it’s on sale, I’d be tempted to get another house and use it to make a bigger mansion.
The extra floor would be useful because it offers a single window wall and a straight connector, which gives a lot more potential in terms of varying what you can build.
I never really messed with the victorian house.. I didn't know that...
Hereby I confirm it is Steck! :wow:
It suddenly occurred to me - if you're not aware, while the Victorian Mansion is Steck, it is not compatible with any other Steck buildings. I have seen dios with a ground floor using regular walls and an upper story of Victorian parts, but I couldn't say how easily they sit on top of each other.
Let's call it "Victorian Steck" ;)
Stecktorian

That sounds like it refers to people: "He doesn't hold with these new building systems. He's an old Stecktorian, you know."
I was also thinking that they better release the other ‘outside’ sets as well, because if they don’t, the already expensive secondary market prices are gonna get much worse, with all the new mansion reissue owners.
I think they should package the wallpaper better. As it is, it was loose in the box, and it is extremely easy for it to get bent. Maybe they can put it in its own box. I will be buying a spare set if and when it becomes available on DS, because I am aware it gets damaged and discoloured with time. I shall also try to get spares of the curtains.
The way the flowers attach to the stems is very very annoying, they keep falling off. I think I shall glue them on using model glue.
But all in all I am very happy, and looking forward to the other sets

Interesting - this may have changed at some point in the run, but when I got it originally the wallpaper was already glued onto the walls. At least it means you can change it easily if you want it.
The outside sets are what I want really, and I'd be curious which (if any) they release, or if they do them in batches of a few a year. If they were going to do new versions of stuff, I'd have preferred it to be the furniture sets, which are pretty widely available.
I didn’t understand your last point. You’d prefer them to re-release those sets that are abundant on the secondary market rather than the rarer ones?
And speaking of the attic. The wallpaper goes over a number of separate roof pieces, so if you’re going to dismantle the house eventually I suggest NOT using the double sided tape to affix the wallpaper to the walls. Wedge it in instead, and then install the white window borders as in the manual, and it will keep the wallpaper in place.
. . . . Apparently I am not the only one having problems with the flowers. Were the original ones ABS or PVC? I suspect they were ABS which is why those stayed put while these are literally spit off the stems. Other people on FB mentioned it . . . .
. . . . And now to find my Revell model glue and get started on those flowers …
Saw a post on Instagram that the problem with the flowers is that the hole in the center is too small. They said they reamed it out with a toothpick and the flowers hold fine after that.

The kitchen (70970) went on sale today! ;D
I'm checking every day for new sets ;D
I've decided to go for it and get it all, but I don't want to keep ordering, so I'm waiting for all the rooms the be added.
But if you do lots of separate orders you maximise your free bonus figures
The bathroom (70895) went on sale today! ;D
=> Unless it is a complete new oldtimer, I can only imagine it is a rerelease of set 6349 (but stickered instead of printed and perhaps with different colours):
Would it not make more sense for it to be 5640 - there's no stickers listed on PlaymoDB but the crates and boxes have stickers on them, which I guess came as a sticker sheet?
Could be, Oliver. In total there have been 4 variations of this truck so far, I listed them on Playmodb (https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=4083%0D%0A5640%0D%0A6349%0D%0A9042).
I'll let you know (with a picture of course) when I received the stickers!
I hope it’s the car. Got the truck last week for 70 euro MIB, which I imagine is a good deal. Still have to unbox it.
Are we sure it?s the original Victorian car ?
Could it be a new car ?
It seems odd if it was the original , it?s been tan and then green . What other colors could it be?
Our friend Playdalai from Amclicks (http://amclicks.org/foro/novedades-playmobil/nuevo-catalogo-playmobil-plus-2022/msg90486/#msg90486) released information about two Victorian cars that will be released in the second half of 2022!
- 70937 : Victorian car (Color 1)
- 70938 : Victorian car (Color 2)
And I got a notification of UPS that my parts order is shipped, so tomorrow I'll post a picture of the sticker for 70937!
How can you order stickers for a set that isn’t released yet?
Slightly ridiculous that the discount means the large house is actually cheaper than the small house  At least this indicates they won't exclude them from the wider discount weeks
Is this it then, until they announce additional sets?
and there appears to be a truck and 2 cars coming in the second half of the year
A truck and 1* car ;) , basically the revival of the Victorian truck and car. However, I can imagine they will revive more Victorian sets in January 2023 if the series does well.

One car in two different colours.
I think what bml is suggesting is that the two sets we know are coming are one car and one truck (since there is no set number for the truck yet, but we know it's coming because of the stickers they ordered) - which makes more sense them issuing two cars.

What bml posted was:
Yip, but, because of the stickers we now know that:
70937: will be the truck
70938: will be the car
=> and we assume the truck and car will have different colours ;) . I hope this is clear now for everyone :)
I saw the baby room and children’s room on the US site but with the 25% off a few were out of stock already
Thanks for the heads up! I didn't get an email (maybe I forgot to set an alert for the house itself).
I found confirmation that the Victorian automobiles will be coming in July as sets 70937 and 70938. ...

Now that is a spot of good news. Hopefully I will be able to order the missing parts of the my other old-timers as well!

Also, the garden set sent live on the US site a few days ago, but it hasn't come in stock yet.
The new figures are nice. I'm curious about the thinking that led to some sets being re-released unaltered and some being changed up, but I'm not complaining! Well, except about spending money and not having any space

It might just be the photo, but the seats of the old car were redder.
Yes, odd.. The wheel.. things in the truck are also different - one has to wonder..
Also why does the bakery have stone on one end and the timber/plaster on the other? Is that a normal style?
Is it historical/accurate to have different colors of plaster between the timbers? There are red and green PM ones but I can't recall any real life examples of that - but also I haven't seen a lot of pictures of that type of building so I don't know.
Belief it or not, but the pristine white marble statues from Greek and Roman times were themselves really brightly painted.

I'm holding out hope that if these ones sell well there will be a second wave next year with the extension floor, fence and some of the street sets
So what you're saying is, I need to buy more? On it!!
Does anyone have the instructions for the living room 70897?
I would like to order the fireplace from the spare parts service, but the instructions still haven’t been released… or is that to prevent us from ordering spare parts ???
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the UK site has cut the prices for these across the board (Large House is now £126) - this might mean it's excluded from the generic price cuts they do.
The Victorian theme now comes under Playmobil Plus (what used to be Direct Service) and is described as Nostalgic Dolhouse so presumably is excluded from price cuts relating to the main catalogue but can be and has been included in price cuts on Playmobil Plus.
70937 Truck (Old Timer 1) and 70938 Car (Old Timer 2) are both now for sale on playmobil.de, 24,99 Euro each and playmobil.co.uk, £19 each!
