Welcome to the second session of Round 2 here at Marketon.
In the first match for Group E today we have Sir Adler of Saxony
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/1/mj-2-e-1-1.jpg)
-
His opponent will be Sir Ceil of Ethero Valley
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/1/mj-2-e-1-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/1/mj-2-e-1-3.jpg)
Both knights get down to business right off, with nicely placed shield hits
Tied 1-1
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/1/mj-2-e-1-4.jpg)
It looks like Sir Cecil let his lance drift too high this run, he misses over the top of Sir Adler’s shield. Sir Adler has a perfectly placed shield hit
Sir Adler 2 Sir Cecil 1
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/1/mj-2-e-1-5.jpg)
It’s not Sir Cecil’s day today, he’s missed again. Sir Adler got a third solid shield hit.
That gives Sir Adler 3 points and the win for this match.
-
In our second match of Group E we have Sir Cygnet
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-1.jpg)
-
and his opponent Sir Alexander of Korent
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-3.jpg)
Some clever shield work helps Sir Cygnet avoid being hit, while scoring an excellently placed hit on Sir Alexander’s shield
One point for Sir Cygnet
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-4.jpg)
A bit more caution on Sir Alexander’s part pays off and he uses his shield to defray what looked like a possible body hit. He manages to stay seated solidly enough to score a great hit to Sir Cygnet’s shield as well.
2 points for Sir Cygnet, one for Sir Alexander
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-5.jpg)
Sir Alexander play’s Sir Cygnets shield trick back at him this run and pulls his shield in time to avoid a hit while hitting Sir Cygnet squarely on the shield.
Tied at 2 points each
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/E/2/mj-2-e-2-6.jpg)
Sir Alexander makes a play for the win on this run and swings his lance up to touch off Sir Cygnet’s helmet. Sir Cygnet is distracted by the move and misses.
Two points for Sir Alexander of Korent gives him 4 and the win.
-
Moving into Group F now, we have Sir Bartholomew Hale
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/1/mj-2-f-1-1.jpg)
-
His opponent will be Sir Odysseus. Lord Doulichion of Ithaca
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/1/mj-2-f-1-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/1/mj-2-f-1-3.jpg)
Sir Odysseus looks to be a little off his timing this first run, his shield is too low allowing a body hit by Sir Bartholomew, and he barely catches Sir Bart’s shield for a point.
2 points for Sir Bartholomew, 1 for Sir Odysseus
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/1/mj-2-f-1-4.jpg)
Wham! No timing error there!
A solid body hit throws Sir Bartholomew right off his horse
It’s a win for Sir Odysseus
-
Our second match in Group F today will be between Lord Alderran of Avelina
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-1.jpg)
-
And Sir Paul E Merous
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-4.jpg)
It’s a square shield hit for Lord Alderran, and it looks like he just avoided getting hit in the head there.
One point for Lord Alderran
Sir Paul’s lance looked rather high that run
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-3.jpg)
They both have high lances this run, and it looks like we have a two point head hit for both competitors
That will give Lord Alderran the win…
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-5.jpg)
He looks rather off there Sir Edward?
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-6.jpg)
Yes, that head shot – Oh, what’s that!
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-7.jpg)
-
He’s fallen right off his horse there!
Oh my, he’s not looking good!
-
The head hit didn’t look all that hard really?
No, but remember he had that nasty unhorsing yesterday. Landed right on his head then.
The Medic is out there, with the Master of the Lists,

We’re back at Marketon Jousting Grounds where Lord Alderran of Avelina has taken a fall off his horse at the end of Group F Match 2
Looks like he’s speaking with his squire there
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-10.jpg)
That’s a good sign surely?
Yes, I should think so
Do you think his falling off his horse will count as an unhorsing and reverse the win of that match Sir Edward?
I’m not sure Vanidel, but here comes the Master of the Lists, he’ll be able to give us the determination.
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%202/F/2/mj-2-f-2-11.jpg)
With the Course Medic we’ve determined that Lord Alderran’s fall from his horse was due to taking a small head strike compounded with injury from yesterday’s unhorsing. His fall was sufficiently delayed that it will only count as a 2 point head strike. The Win of the match is awarded to Lord Alderran 4 points to 2.
Thank you Marshall, any news on how serious the injury is?
Too soon to say I think
Thanks again, Sir
So that completes Groups E and F for today. We had wins by Sir Adler of Saxony and Sir Alexander of Korent in Group E, and Sir Odysseus of Ithaca and the unfortunate Lord Alderran of Avelina in Group F.
