Okay so since Playmobil has gotten into the Composers scene (Mozart and Bach) I feel like they need to create an orchestra set. They already have several of the components needed. And then while they are at it, make a marching band (bonus if they have a kids sized one)
I want to see French horns, and real flutes, an Oboe, the different drums.
Then of course drums (including quad sets, the snare drums, and a beautiful bass drum) for the marching band, trombones, and Tubas (the big tubas, Sousaphone Tubas- not the one they’ve already done, but we will need more of them). And let’s not forget the snazzy uniforms! I can see myself buying at least 2 or 3 of these sets. And the Victorian lovers would be in heaven. So would the Circus lovers... it’s a slam dunk

+ 1
-
Absolutely! They certainly have enough instrument models to do so.

.... the HORROR! Money. Yuck.
-
I think that's a great idea! Some of the figures might need bent arms in order to hold their instruments in a realistic playing position- French Horn and Flute especially.
-
Kind of surprising they hadn't already done more musician sets years ago.
-
We´re getting the new bagpiper (Series 18) in 2nd half 2020, just in time for the Third Scottish Independence War in 2021 ;D
-
If they didn't want to do them as stand alone sets they could just hold a slot in each Figures series for a figure with a band uniform and an instrument. You would collect the band over time. Would love to see them do a Bavarian brass band in lederhosen as well.
-
Mexican mariachi band too. You could have all sorts of cultural type bands.
-
Dragging up an old thread, but I'm pondering setting up a klicky jazz band, and I'm just now realizing there isn't a proper drum set or decent-looking clarinet. Would also love to see the grand piano in black.

Meanwhile on a convention somewhere in the US... 8} ;D
(sorry for the very small pic, the 100Kb-restriction... I´ll post a much larger one on my FB-page.)

Cool dio, though the pic's a little small :lens:

Not really a dio, just some fast stuff.
Pic is very small indeed, can´t upload here anything larger then 100kB.
I´ll add a normal-sized one to the PW-group on FB, and also to my timeline. When I take playmo-pics these days, usually I only upload/show them there.
-
If you host them offsite, say on imgur, you can have very large images.

I just threw the pic "in the cyber-cloud" overthere...
Or is it better to create an account? Probably I will only use that imguru-stuff for posting pics here or on KW
-
That's right, except 1) you can pull a code that embeds the image in your PF post, and 2) don't make an account, that just limits your uploads. No account and you can upload infinite pictures.
Longevity of pictures seems to be dependent on how often they're accessed, the other day I saw an imgur link that was live 10 years after being put up; I've also seen them disappear sooner than that. Caveat uploador

I pulled the code, instruction said copy + past in your post on a blog or elswhere. But it doesn´t seem to work.
What am I doing wrong?
-
What you're doing wrong is pulling code from presumably f12 or some other coder angle. You don't need to do that: imgur gives you exactly the code you need with little effort. Regardez:

What you want is to choose the "bbcode (forums)" option. Ctrl-c that, then ctrl-v it into your PF post. The image will show up inline, instead of as an attachment.

1. It´s the very first time I try to use Imguru.
2. Whenever I go back to the pic on imgur, I don´t get to see those options for forums you showed. I only get to see the copy-paste link I already used, or the embed-options for FB, Twitter etc. which do not work here. No option to insert the image in a forum.

Show me a screenshot of what you're seeing.

I can choose "download" or "embed"...
-
As I don´t want to download my own pic, I chose "embed".
Then I get only these 2 options:

Try uploading it again, but show me the screen immediately after the pic has been uploaded.

I totally agree with Ismene, even though my post is extremely delayed.
A jazz band, a proper drum, a clarinet, and the grand piano in black... would be amazing. I'm a huge fan of Playmobil musical instruments
