Title: Official Playmobil Top Trumps card
Post by: flatcat on August 03, 2010, 12:37:38
Hello

As you all know, I collect Top Trumps. I think the game is boring and pointless, but I have over 250 sets as they are nice to collect and look at.

Anyway, my latest addition to my collection is a first to the card game; a board game, which is produced by the official liscence holder for the Top Trumps brand, Winning moves.

Cut to the chase, one of the 6 exclusive card packs is of 'top toys'

And in it is Playmobil!!! <:>

(hopefully you can read what it says)

For the image, it uses special 4640 - Train Worker (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4640)

Lets compare stats with Lego! :evilplan:

The funny thing is that for the picture of Lego, they have used some Mega Bloks type lookylike

If I were Lego I'd have something to say about the product mis-representation! Somethign along the lines of "voluntary recall".

So does an older year win? Higher price? Lower Difficulty?

Do they have Hornby Trains and Meccano?

Normally in top Trumps, the higher value wins, which would make sense for the 'hall of fame' category, but for the others it should surely be the lowest, and as for 'year of release' I really wouldn't know, but lowest I suppose :-\

I shall go and look at the instructions! :!:

Ah, that's because it is not like a normal TT game

There are all sorts of games like Hi/Lo etc

Oh, and they don't have Meccano or Hornby as such, but they have 'train set', 'scalextric' and 'Top trumps' themselves, which they rate rather highly ::)
