What do you do when winter's last gasp drops 8 inches of snow on you - why, bundle up the kids, gather up the Dino sets and go out and have fun! ;D
We decided that instead of being traditional (like the last snowfall we had) we would forego building a snowman and build a snow mountain base for our intrepid plastic heroes! Here is the result:

Great pictures Captain Henry,
Thanks for sharing :-)

OK, the last batch, showing the kids actually playing with their toys, as well as a scenic view of the snow. (This is especially for Richard in his Caribbean paradise! See, sometimes cold weather is better. ;))
We hope you have enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed playing in the snow! :)

Queen Candy was looking over my shoulder at the photos as I opened them and said: "It's not fair! Why don't we ever get any snow?!"
We usually do get some decent falls every winter (deep enough to build a good sized snowman) but it has been considerably milder this year, and as a result we've had almost no snow here. The kids have really missed playing in it, as you can probably tell by my daughter's comment.
My youngest son has some of these Dino sets. He has not played with them outside, but that is a very good idea. :D When I was little, I would play in the giant piles of sand that my dad had delivered (foundation material for his building work), making tunnels and roads for my toy cars. I remember it was a lot of fun, so I can easily imagine how much your kids enjoyed making their ice base. They did a great job and have every right to feel proud. :yup:
Thanks for the photos, Henry. I really enjoyed them. :)

Thank you for the photos.. they brought me back in time when I was a kid. It reminded me how I used to LOVE the snow.

It looks like a lot of fun,
and I am sure these are memories the children will treasure.

I am very glad you all enjoyed the photos! :) We had a blast, though it was short-lived, all the snow is melted already except for a small pile where the ice base used to be!
When I grow up, I want to be one of your kids!
Sure, Richard, but I get custody of your Playmobil collection until you are old enough to be trusted with it! ;D

Hmmm ... That could be great fun, Henry! ... ;)
(But, does "custody" mean that I only get to have "supervised" play?) ...
