Need help! what's the best way to cut PM plastic?
« on: October 19, 2018, 22:03:16 »
I'm making a tiller ladder truck for my playmobil fire department and I need to know the best way to cut PM plastic, I was considering a hacksaw, but then I thought a dremel tool might be better, which one should I use? or is there a different too, I should use?

I use a razor saw.  The backless type is best as that does not leave a burr, however, it only cuts on the pull stroke.

I went with a dremel, it looks like it will work amazingly.

A dremel will work well, just be weary of unwanted cuts or melting of the plastic. ABS doesn't do well with heat. I also use a small razor saw when cutting.
