I was able to create the scene I had in mind (with a bit of ingenuity to make up for a missing part).  I added the house in the background at the last minute, and I really think it made the scene complete.

Last Minute Preperations:

I might play around with some other stuff tomorrow and create a second entry... But please enjoy this one.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

That is so wonderful with all the lights and tinsel and wreaths ... and all the elves.  And yes, the house in the background too is perfect, giving the scene depth and atmosphere.

It's a lovely photo.

It's sooo pretty!

Great idea, that red-and-green pattern for a floor in Santa's work area. And that huge bag of toys, haha!

Very nice, especially the lodge looks beautifull with all those decorations.

Last Minute Preperations:

Looks awesome! What a huge present bag!

Where did you get those tiny.. what are they called... "fluffy strings" that are around the posts?  I looked and looked... nothing.

Yes, that's what I used to create the tinsel on the posts. I bought a pack at a local craft store for just 97 cents (US) it was just a green pack since that was all that I needed, but you can get many other colors.

The present bag was made using an old jewelry pouch, with a piece of craft string around it. It really was a fun undertaking to make this.
