Can I "take them" to visit Lisbon???  8}

And if so, where can I get the figures? I've searched even on eBay for set 7935, but I had no luck!!  :-\

There's no reason why you shouldn't take them to Lisbon, Miguel, and the figures were available from DS but are no lomnger available, which is a pity as no one expected them to be discontinued so quickly.

Thanks for the intro to San Francisco, KM.  It's a pity Maisie and Fred couldn't be photographed in the museum, but we can understand why there is no photography allowed.  Maybe we can see them out elsewhere with you.

Thanks Gus! It is good to see Fred and Maisie out and about again, that really is a very nice viewpoint they have found. There does not seem to be very much activity in the water, does Rio have a commercial waterfront? Thanks for the photos! :wave:

Yes, thanks for kick-starting the Maisie and Fred adventure thread, Gus.  They certainly have a great place to visit with you.    :wave:

(And seriously ...)

This was a set we imagined were going to be available for a while.
Also, we thought that, once they're retired, they would have thought to have enough time, now, to run around the world, and spend a little of their life savings ...

(These are the two main reasons I recall.)

Yup, that was it.

Rather than having one figure that we sent around the world to each other, with the difficult and expense involved and the risk of losing the figure, we thought it might be fun to select an cheap and easily acquired DS set that anyone interested could buy, and include them in some travel pictures.

Sadly it seems the set is no longer available, so there are a limited number of Maisie and Freds around.

Why an old couple? Old couples are inherently funny.

Thank you, Martin!   :(
