It's good to see this interesting topic again. And here is a contribution borrowed from 'Playmobil in the News'

[/center]

At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

I'm currently in China, and I like to keep half an eye on Baopals (the Chinese Amazon) for Playmobil. Usually it's real stuff and very expensive.

However, there is now a seller selling body parts, and the occasional accessory. To be honest, it's still not particularly cheap (I think to build a figure would be about £3-4, so as expensive as the real thing), and I've never custom made figures anyway and was worried I'd forget to order something crucial.

My curiosity was piqued and I bought a few hats.

They're much shinier than real Playmobil. Most of them have a noticeable point where they've been attached to a mould, but they fit OK and I will probably find a use for them somewhere

You might have heard of AliExpress? They ship to the West, but the same company is TaoBao in China (in Chinese) and Baopals in China (in English). At least I think  ???

This seller is a bit annoying because they don't have an online 'store' so you can't browse everything they're selling easily.
