Title: Playmobil purchases
Post by: Giorginetto on February 08, 2011, 19:21:19
So today , I left work a bit early, not my usual thing, purely down tot he fact that i have been planning this visit for almost 2 weeks!!! I cant tell you how excited i get everytime i visit the playmobil hellas fun park !!!

Anyways , in line with the forum posts and philosophy, i start this thread to show all my playmobil purchases, hopefully it wont be long till its many pages long !!!

Actually things didnt turn out as i was planning today . However lots of good deals in paymobil fun park and yes there are romans , plenty of them !!! I was orignally after buying another 200 klickies 7664 - Black Lion Guards hoping to reach their total number to about 700 i think .. ( i am not really sure but i must have about 500 by now ...) BUT there were only 30 klickies to get and as you shall see in the pictures below i grabbed all 10 of these bags that were there . and thats the end of black lion guards, no more to come out of playmobil production lines... :-\... i should have bought a 1000 when i had the chance and the absence of brains clearly. Anyways after the black lion guards , i also bought 9 klickies 7669- Green dragon guards again thats all they had. I also bought two easter eggs , both medieval an old red small one and the bigger more recent blue red knight. On a moment of spiritual enlightment i figured out what my mediaval set up will be like, i knew i had to go to the playmobil temple ( fun park) to get that enlightment ... Just as King Iseroth has many fractions under his command with various banners portrayed together in various sets, similarly there will be a ' pact of dragons' : yellow dragons ( 3669s) , green dragons ( temple rock, 7669), red dragons (system x) and also the new green and red dragons of the dragonland series !!! All in a sinister alliance also with the merry men and the vikings/gauls to take over the Kings castle ( in case of war with outsiders these forces all unite under King iseroth... naturally...)  . So bought the entire DRAGONLAND Series with a copy of each , but also 3x 7992 and 15 klickies of 7973 ( all green dragonland fraction  ) and also 3x 7974 and 15 klickies of 7975 ( all red dragonland fraction) , also got two 4841 red dragonland knights. Pictures below show all purchases , i shall open all these maybe this long weekend as i am continuing setting up by medieval collection though i doubt i will have a chance to open any of this yet, still to open some hundreds of black lion guards, gauls, green dragons and wolf knights and many other sets ...anyways , a great playmo day here are some dodgy pictures of today's purchases ... oh i also bought 3 x 4694 ghost/death klickies ...

Nice haul!

I too have been busy today, spurred on by Tim's info about TRU having a 25% off sale I spent $260 on various sets, several of which I wouldn't have got at full price but am happy with at 25% off, including the 3647 camper van and a seaplane. I added a couple more 4246 Treasure Tombs (useful as houses) and a 4243 Pharoah's Temple, and another 5913 Dragon Tower.

I'm now home again awaiting a UPS delivery direct from Playmobil US - it was out on the truck at 5:20am today but from previous experience won't be here until about 4pm.

That's quite a good haul, Giorginetto.

I'm no longer feeling worried about the 46 purchases I have made on EBay in the last 60 days (I think it's a total of 88 EBay purchases since September) and the order I put into Playmobil before Christmas.  Nor am I worried about the size of the parts order I am about to submit to Playmobil for their consideration.

I love this forum

NB I got the Koala Game from the UK Playmobil Direct in December. It's up in the loft at the moment with the rest of my secret stash (yes, that's why I've called myself Bad Mum!  ;))

Place was quite empty!!! I actually came close to buy all the new castles and mediaval sets, they do look awesome i must say but thats a purchase for much much later , i really want to conclude my mediaval and steck purchases ( i am waiting for  a massive steck order from Playmobil Uk ) and focus a bit on the so so sooooooooo neglected Western sets ( i ahve bought any since 1998 or so ) and start buying all the western old houses, school, train station etc etc so many sets there and the union/ confederate armies are very appealing. Oh and i want to buy some piratas and at least 300 redcoats .. god i need to win the lottery .... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

No that i have space i keep all the boxes of everything i buy ...

Unfortunately, yes, it probably is expensive to ship it.  :-\ International shipping is pretty high these days. It's probably better if I just wait til it comes here. Thanks for the offer, though.  ;D

BY the way i would like to inform you that the 3669 set belongs to my coat of arms.If you are raising an army on my behalf i should thank you for it.But in other hand you can not use these units in our war.
You can alway donate these troops to King Talos.

My 3669s are growing fast Warlond and they will be at the front lien of the battle, I will simply remove their horse feathers so they dont get mixed, my concern is not that but with the pace i am buying 3666s i will have too many and my other coat of arms armies might not get a chance to fight ...

Sorry i cant see the picture in my work PC , its the single tan floors that go behind the fortifications and the darker colour ' fillings ' that have a gamma shape that go in between to connect them and fill the gaps. I dont understand why only 10 at a time, i have previously ordered a big quantity of these in the order of 50 each from the UK, without any problems. Playmobil it seems need to revise their customer service strategy ....

I just bought some more nuremberg guards ( not the ones from shinona but others ) !!!!

These and Shinona's ones will add another 30 or so nuremberg guards to the Kingdom of krull !!!!! Now that i must have well over 100 nurembeg guard i shall declare these from city hall guard to ROYAL GUARD , the guards of King Iserth and his family !!!!  The Royal Guards are the only ones allowed to bear the Insignia of the Nuremberg and are the King's elite swordmen and exceptionally good calavry men , somthing like the marines of today if i may say. Hopefully there will be a picture of the entire royal guard for all of you to see !!!

But do you get to actually "play" with them? I can totally understand the fun of setting it up (when I was a kid I spent hours setting up castles, but when the castle was finally ready it wasn't so fun anymore just to play with it), but you guys buy so much stuff that it looks like you won't have time to "play" with all that. Well, at least for me spare time to actually sit on the floor and "play" with this stuff is basically limited to my weekends, so I end up inferring that it would be the same for you too.

I spent 2-3 days a month in my playmoden after i set up all my medieval sets i plan to set up some photostories and hopefully host the first dragons jousting tournament sometime this summer. For me Playmobil is a big hobby but i spent more of my free personal time for my other hobbies which is cars and shooting ( not animals or anything alive  just stationary or  moving clay plates )  and horse riding . Right now i spent far more time talking about playmobil etc in here rather than playing it but when i do i enjoy the playmobil thoroughly and they are  worth every euro i spent on them

Yes, I do find this to be a problem. I have so much stuff for my zoo, that I don't have time or space to set it all up and enjoy it very much.  :-\ but one of these days, I hope to have room to set it all up! The dream keeps me going.  :cloud9:

A number of carefully selected steck parts were bought tonite from Librejoggen  from whom i buy a lot of stuff . These parts will allow me to build walls over my castle outside gates and also some small cosmetic improvements to the castle . All together approx 100 pieces were bought  and these will come in very handy . I also worked out that to build an outside wall for my castle with square towers all round and also increase the castle size by 25% i will need approx 900 more various steck pieces. unfortunatelly there is never enough steck and i doubt there will be room for my armies in this castle, perhaps i should create a permanent invasion army ....

... Never enough Steck....

A complete 3449 ( well ok it was missing a yelo wlamppost but i have about 20 spare ones ) would go for 80-100 euros , so 110 inclding postage is not a bad buy i reckon ....  ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

A number of carefully selected steck parts were bought tonite from Librejoggen  from whom i buy a lot of stuff .

I checked out his auctions and he's got lots of stuff and it is at not too bad of prices (when you consider he's a specialised Playmobil seller).  Good selection of stuff too.

I just don't see how you could sell it all?!  I'd want to keep it ....

Obviously, these sellers don't sell any sets they owned. it seems they have somehow found access to a lot of playmobil items from somewhere. I have bought a lot of items from him and some had silicone on them like the playmobil on dioramas...

Apart from the 4052 train which i have fallen in love with :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: , i have bought a compete in box western silver ranch that will be used in the western diorama. also received from ds about  1000 parts , all for western , as i will create a confederate cavalry and condederate army and artillery . I have bought 5 western cannons, ordered at playmobil about another 110 confederates in total and bought about 60 indians and 5 indian tupees. I have also bought about 24 cowboys and a dozen union soldiers .

I havent bought my massive redcoats army though, still to decide which one to go for , i thin i will stick to my pledgre and buy no playmobil this summer, i think i am doing quite well in that respect  :loco: :loco: :loco: :loco:

Picking up from grngel next week a water tank and air mill that will be used in the western diorama and hopefully my big order for socrates will arrive next week .... .

However, buying things for a diorama is a good excuse, isn't it George?  ;D
With shopping for extras for the Kirkbean Exhibition I've reached a point where I can't remember what I've bought.  A large box arrived the other day and I hadn't a clue what it could be ... forgot I'd bought another circus tent.  :-[

Really good deal!! Usually you find one of them for this price.

The bobby is hard to find I think... ii look at ebay.uk from time to time and they are either listed as an auction, which I dont do as I cant stand the anxiety, or they are very expensive... prices I think too much for a single klicky...

Ah yes, thats pretty much the perfect army builder set.

Yesterday I got a bit lucky when browsing marktplaats, someone was selling a seperate Swan squire. And lots of other clickies seperatly with an item or two. Sadly often no hats or helmets.
Luckily the seller reserves the items for anyone that bids the asking price (2 euros for each seperate clicky) and I did ask if he had any more like this and had additional hats and helmets to go with any additional clickies I'd like to order.

Title: Re: Playmobil purchases
Post by: bonniebeth on December 31, 2011, 05:29:58
A LOT more than I would have spent for that number of klickies and a couple of baskets and animals. But then again, I'm no expert on this theme, so maybe those figures are rarer than I realize. They are vintage.
Title: Re: Playmobil purchases
Post by: Rhalius on December 31, 2011, 10:07:10
I'd say 45 might be a good price for it considering that all pieces are intact, I do know the chests arent worth much since they are sold all the time at marktplaats and the classic clickies themselves arent worth much either on their own, not sure about the accesoires though. Especially neck pieces can easily get broken over the years, especially considering that the old clickies encouraged far more customising to put them in different roles while the new clickies stay more in the same role, thus don't swap accesoires as often.
Title: Re: Playmobil purchases
Post by: PlaymoMan on December 31, 2011, 15:16:34
I think that I wouldn't pay that much for that lot of farmers, but then again, I don't collect that theme, so I don't know much in that category. :)
Title: Re: Playmobil purchases

These are 21 vintage klickies, right? some of them are listed on ebay for 10 euros, others for 30 euros, and some for anything between 80 and 100 euros, but thats the ones that are still in their boxes. if George bought these klickes individually, he'd probably pay at least 210 euros... I think he got them at a fine price.

Of course, someone who lives in a country with a good second hand market, could easily get these for much less than 85 euros..., but for us living in Greece, where people tend to usually throw away their toys once they grow up and second hand market is not very popular, its difficult to get better deals... ebay is our only option, and Playmofriends who are willing to help  ;)

I gave a lot, a lot of thought if i should get more lion guards or something else like the new english soldiers, new sets etc , this question has been in my head for over 2 weeks, I have decided to bring the lion guard to just over 1000 - i think with the upcoming 100 i have around 850-900  or so , need to count them at some point   .  I will order more pikes and more arches and arrow quivers in the near future to reinforce the heavy foot soldiers with pikes and the archers . I will expand Krull's army further  :loco:

I reckon also i will add some armour to many of these lion guards , i am working on this as we speak on best options available. Sir wolf has given me some good ideas and i thank him on this , want to add some torso and arms armour, not that bothered about the legs , its a shame really these guards were not available with boots but only with those leather tan shoes which have probably the worse defence +1 score    . nevertheless as i cant have nurnbergers as nobody at playmobil listened to me  :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:, i will have black lion guards instead which make a fine klicky to use for various army units and as the basic soldier of krull.. anyways better log off ebay  before wife finds out and divorces me  ...  :loco: :loco: :loco: :loco: :loco:

Picked up another 34x 3664 Black Lion guards = 102 black lion guards . that brings my total to around 900 i believe , will double check when at the den next time  i am not so sure ... my goal is to have over 1000 black lion guards

I also got a samurai special and also ordered two new bakeries, 6 barrels ( apparently they are NOT in stock !!!! ) , a green historic car and some animals etc that i will be picking up next week

The new greek catalogue has all these sets in. BUT the barrel is not available. I am speaking to playmobil greece tomorrow and find out formally what the heck is going on with all these ....

On a more positive not a medieval playmo dream of the 90s has come true for me !!!! the very rare and amazing looking 3888 knight, i have managed to buy another 7 complete ones !!!! I am so thrilled as i only had 2 or 3 of them in  krull and i think its one of the coolest knights about, certainly far better looking than those new ones if you ask me !!!! and here are my purchases !!!

I actually like that knight a lot , i really like the choice of colours and design and the bright red gloves and shoes are a nice detail. Of course they shoudl have the red boots and not these soft leather shoes  . However i am sure they will still put up  a good fight on their horses ....

Actaully i am a bit surprised i found all these at once. I have been looking for 3888s knights complete ones for a while and they are not the easiest ones to come by, considering they were only available in this set .... I think i was pretty lucky and not bad prices considering their rarity and age .....

Playmobil klikcies are like vitnage wine. The older they get the more value they have and better they are as todays' playmobil are getting more and more unrealistic and ugly every time in my opinion . I can hardly differentiate between today's  knights and some aliens ... terrible .... bring back the old classic klickies i say , they were the best !!!!!

Thank you Ace and thank everyone else. This type of encouragement makes me buy more medieval and not other themes / set i want .. but i have no regrets.. when the magnificent four arrive its all gonna be ready for the two major battles between Krull Empire and the 'Old' Empire , one in open ground and one in the sea. i have never set all my black lion guards before together , they must be just round 1000 but i will ensure before the battle they are just over that number  .... ;)

Here is my 'big haul' of playmospace

a couple more sets to get and job done. I must say the recent photos of Sir Wolf's space diorama were a major decision point to get these instead of more black lion guards or something.

I will not be getting the latest space sets or aliens nor the new ones. i prefer these old classic non violent ones and shall take some photos of all these soon when i have them all . and a little photostory of space exploration...

i am really happy with those purchases i thing the big haul was a really good price too !!!  ;)

Congratulations George! I think the big haul is a very good catch and the price is quite alright. there are sellers who sell each of these big vehicles for 100 euros alone, and you managed to get all these with a 110. I think its a purchace worth it! The little robots are a bit high, but the two vehicles are very fine price. Looking forward seeing your creation!

I was looking for a 100% complete with Number 2 on it for a very long time. Very happy i finally got one. I found a MIB with number one about 5 months ago , now i will have very soon a little photo story with the Playmobil Le Mans Team. I suppose these are like Porsche 936s  ( 1976 LeMans ) even the colors look right

Playmobil Le Mans Team 1976

Drivers in Car #1 : Iserothsen ( Liechtenstein), Carathers (UK)
Drivers in Car #2:  Valmas ( France), Pepito ( Italy)

Team Boss : Delaney ( USA)

The name Delaney is given as a mark of respect and hommage to Steve McQueen, Le Mans Driver and the ' Delaney ' character' in the awesome movie Le Mans....

isn't there red ones also. For some reason I though the cars came with a #1, #2 and a #3 sticker and you could choose what you wanted. If this is corect you could have white with 1, 2 & 3 and red with 1, 2 & 3 for a total of 6 race cars

Well you are either reading my mind or know how my playmo purchase  strategy is sir

I have never seen a number #3 car so i cant really tell if three numbers were available for these sets . Good complete ones are actually rare for both the white and red cars  and i havent found a complete red one yet. i want to get red ones for the Ferrari team which will have the most flamboyant race driver of all , a playmobil custom race klicky i am working on as i type this

As  a matter of fact i was playing with the idea to get the victorian sets as early as 2002/2003 when i discovered ebay and life was never the same again    .  .. but i guess i never got round it and classic steck is still and will always be my number one collection. 2012 was a strange playmo year, out of the ordinary, i completed my medieval set up with more klickies and some more  steck classic  sets ( still have those MISB baron 3665 towers to open    , then went into playmospace (!!!) and now victorian, while there was a touch of pirate islands and some pirate stuff somewhere too

...time to close some gaps in victorian collection,  create an army of tall hats too which has been postponed for like a decade now , get a couple of pirate sets and then onto 2013 to create my next steck set up which i dream it to be almost double of current.

need more black lion guards  :loco:.hope they will still be around in a few months......

I got my 3rd 5300 today with its box. Unfortunately there were quite a few items missing ( item was described as 100% complete minus the family ) and there was an old fence in it and some other irrelevant playmobil victorian instructions. Anyways , i have just bought all the missing items at a rather high total cost and i hope the seller agrees to pay 50% of it as i suggested... cant be bothered to pack it and sent it back and all that jazz , i hope she agrees to this, anyways i bought all these items and in 3 weeks when i get my ds rifle and bayoonaire order and my pike helmet 170strong army i will create my little diorama and consequent photostories with General Von Iserop  :gent:

So you're the one bumping the prices of Victorian sets up!   ;)

I have all the older furniture sets, the market stands, and the two wedding sets (the reception and the carriage) from when I was a kid, but I'm missing most of the general "street" sets, so I'm currently working on getting those.

Agreed, they can't accomplish the instructions Geobra gave them if they stay locked up in boxes.

1. Always smile.
2. Make people smile.
3. be happy with whatever role they assign to you.
4. Take over the local governments when the signal is given.

BACK TO MEDIEVAL >>>BACK TO MEDIEVAL>>>> ISEROTH HAILS VON ISEROP AS HE IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE

I needed some armor and swords and good ol' knights to shake off all this pink stardust from the( lovely ) victorian sets. More to come from the world of krull dear playmofriends much more to come !!!! there will be more lion guards , more yellow dragons ( i got two 3665 MISB  recently still to open etc ) and much more steck , more steck , more walls and more houses. Next World of Krull that will include the vikings and gauls ( combined ) all the 3665 sets i have and a bigger set up for the dragons , a krullian smaller city - walled and also a big ( 2x) lions castle.  and of course a much bigger krull castle and city. i am saving up to get much more steck in a few months and in 2013 i will reveal suddenly without any preludes or pictures the whole world of Krull set in my garage where there is enough space for everyhing ... Giorginetto has warped from the pink victorian rooms back to the stone walled castles of krull drinking ale instead of tea !!!!

... i need more steck .... much much much more and please this bloody 4 way connector !!!!

Are those lamps battery-operated? You could probably easily fix it if you take it apart and have soldering tools.

Picked up the dragon castle 3269 and a ton of extras including the black dragon... for 65 bucks off craigslist. I grabbed a lot of mystery bags during the Toys R Us buy one get one 50% off, but only modern klickies  :(.

Then found a sweet shop north of Indianapolis that sells Playmobil. They are clearing their stock so they can change locations. They had a lot of bagged stuff and vintage Klickies for $0.25

I know this is a LONG thread.... but this are just Georginetto's purchases  ;D

    She is fine, thanks , she is  2 now and loves her 123 Playmos

I just bought this nice fairly big  Steck bundle  , not such a bad price considering , i think... i really wanted the tower bell and support frame as i will be getting a DS steck tower soon so considering the rarity of these and all the other steck parts ( there must be over 40 plain steck walls ) and the fact that there is a complete steck house there , is pretty good i think ).....

I hope the seller wraps this in a hard box. You better check the box when it comes.

Finally after more than two years my classic car restoration projects has been ( almost) completed!!!! Cost me far far more than my original budget but i guess this is what happens with classic old cars .  :hmm:. Howver as this all done , that  means i can now go back and focus more of my little time and resources for my Playmobil and especially the world of Krull    . I have ordered some more spare steck parts but my next steck order will now be with playmobil to cover my needs for my next type of fortifications for the world of Krull - two level up and also a two side wall with holed steck at level 1 ( above ground - level 0) and then the fortifications at top- level two. I am keen if possible to have fortifications not only at the outside but also to the inside that way i think the walls will look pretty good. I am working on my exact requirements and a foot print- god when is this 4 way steck coming out - i need quite a few !!!!

Also bought a few more romans the past few days - I reckon i might now  have  around a 800 strong leggionnaire army ( not sure though ) and i will gradually built it up to a 1000 or so

Tomorrow i am off to Playmobil Greece to scoop them new vikings if they have any    - i had bought  in the past about 160 celts ( they didint last long did they and i always thought they looked majestic) - these are all still in their bags  :-[  - i think they match well as part of a viking army but now these vikings are out  ( they are  still available i hope in greece now, i cant remember !) its time to built a decent viking army for the world of krull - a few more longboats  will come in handy.picking up also the new steck blacksmith  :)

 ;D

Photobucket did the same to me, even though I was paying them a subscription to host my pictures! If you can rescue the pictures and host them somewhere else, I might be able to help repost them on here as a Moderator (I just hope not too many people ask!). I did that for some of my old posts.

That's the reason... I post pictures on forum's server.

Pics can't be missed. Waste time until reducing pics size? Think about that NOW. Replacing old pics one by one sounds worst.

Sorry. Not using translator now
Title: Re: Playmobil purchases

Attachments on here are quite small files, so many people prefer to host pictures on a third party server and link them here. It works OK until the third party change what they offer.

It was quite time-consuming having to repost pics. The nature of many Internet sites is that they are not going to be around forever, so much useful and creative stuff is lost over time.
