Barons do own lands. In fact, barons can own quite a bit of land. The Feudal system Works as such:King,Gives land to vassals (barons),Gives lands to knights,Gives land to peasants.(Of course that is very simplified)Barons would split there land between several knights. So they would have to own quite a bit of land to do so.

Hey! As I offered in the Jousting League thread, I can make your custom heraldry. Just make a short description with colours and designs and I'll do it for you. Cheers. Arnaud PS: playmojaeger, I don't have your coat of arms in my collection so I would need a scan.
This is the plans for the Grand Canal which will be connected with the Abyss lake. The lake is called Abyss because it is believed that there is no bottom level. In the lake there is a center island. On this island there is the town of Atlantis, capital of Ithaca Kingdom.WoT can i have also the land that i have added , North.
Appearantly, the general view of Duke/Count/Baron (in which the Baron is a lesser noble) is a British way, and the use of a "Baron" (King's vassal, or Graf/Count) as a general noble is a German way ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobilityhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_nobilityhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_nobilityhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GrafBut I have to read it more carefully ... It's Saturday morning, and I'm not quite in the mood
