I know there are some add-on sets related to the ships.

Yes but the case is an active one - happening now - usually we would use the past tense in English - discontinued

I got some 7675 sets last year (and a 7676), but I can't understand why they packaged two sergeants with one private. Seems like a top heavy command structure to me.

They're still available in the Uk too.

I allways thought it was a set of a single private, a sergeant and a lieutenant  :-[
Making the top heavy command even heavier!
... and then dusk came and brought despair.

Richard, can you confirm my assumption that 7676 - Red Coat Leader, whom I got from DS this Christmas, is indeed the same figure as the one in the old 3795 - Harbour Guard?  Thanks!

Hello, Heather ...

Richard, can you confirm my assumption that 7676 - Red Coat Leader, whom I got from DS this Christmas, is indeed the same figure as the one in the old 3795 - Harbour Guard?  Thanks!

The only difference between the officer figure in Add-On 7676 and the officer figure in Set 3595 (or set 3054) is the gold pom-pom that fits over the top of the shoe.

So, to answer your question ... Yes, it is the same figure!

All the best,
Richard

I didn't spot him in 3054, thanks for the tip!  I believe, as well, that the soldiers in those sets are the same as the ones still available from DS, so I'll go ahead and populate the sets with klickies.  Only the black-haired one has a part number, unfortunately.
