Is that a green octopus in the water?
The raft is very similar to an earlier set, but the new sail makes it look more interesting. 8-)

Good to see the raft with mast and sail is back, only a pitty the klicky is an old one recycled... but it's certainly a nice set for Pirate-fans!
(I finally got for myself the earlier version MISB on ebay a week ago, so I'll let this one pass by...)

Very cool set, especially since the raft has been gone for such a long time. And I wonder if that octopus is green, but also changes color like the other one?

:)thanks for the news. i think this item does look quite the same as the 3736/1992 release. the only difference seems to be the logo on the sail.
i will have to buy it, anyway. :)

I'm not jumping with joy over this new set. Not much new, just recycling old parts. And the horrible trend of painting piratesymbols on the sails continue >:( Most of us have several klickies just like this one.

i think you are right kvart.
it is now the 3rd time playmobil produces a pirate raft - 3793 and 3736.
i just wish some of the playmobil designers could see the "master and commander" or the "pirates of the caribbean" movies.
i am sure they would be more inspired.
reading patrick o'brien's "master an commander" / aubrey and maturin series could also help them designing more soldiers (pirates enemies).
this would be surely better than another "revised" raft.
let´s wait and see.

I admit that it is indeed nothing new. But on the other hand; that one will probably be easier for me to get hold of then any of the other/ older ones ...

Exactly! Which is the big reason why I do not mind Playmobil releasing sets similar to some of the classics that were available before I began buying in earnest. I would love to see a new naval vessel along the lines of the Schooner!

i just found some pictures of the new pirate raft, jus released in the u.s.a..
it´s called 5780.

I have a phobia (honest) about squids & octopi (octopussies?) so I'll be sending my son for that and he can dispose of the animal life!

you are the first case i know.
my girlfriend has ornitofobia (the fear of birds) and, at first, i kind of made a joke of it. now i don't, i really understood how bad she feels around birds.
fortunately for you, there are no squids prowling around in the sidewalks.
i know that you are probably the last person in the world to agree with me but i think that squids and octopuses (i think octopi is also correct) are really very interesting creatures - with copper in thir blood instead of iron.
nevertheless, the raft is kind of cool. :)

andi/customizer got crazy with this.
i prefer to get crazy about this set that i just bought on ebay, together with the new 5779 skeleton shipwreck and the 4654 special pirate.
