The table should have a fan on it IMO given that it is 45.9 degrees celsius (114.6F) in France currently.

I take it though he is all old parts, nothing exclusive to this set?

 :o

It's 8°C here at the moment. Hottest it gets is around 30, couldn't imagine 46.

Nice figure. They should do a whole range of national stereotypes. Dutch cheese seller dressed in orange, Scotsman in a kilt with a bottle of whisky, Norwegian fishmonger, Russian spy, Turkish kebab seller (exists), fat German with beer (exists) and so on.

Cute!

The annoying (possibly deadly) thing about heatwaves is that France hasn't fully adopted air conditioning. So when you should be staying inside, out of the sun, you go outside because your apartment/office is an oven. Heatwaves are more bearable in the USA, in my experience. We're also better at having screens on our windows (I say that, but I don't have a screen because it got left out during some maintenance and met with untimely hail, ahem).

Nice figure! I guess the beret (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beret) is part 30062530 (https://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-06-2530)?

But a nice little addition of a caricature Frenchman, although in England you would probably also expect him to have a string of onions and an old bicycle.  I can remember as a youngster (and that's going back 60+ years) when we lived in a small suburban village near Leeds that we always had French onion sellers appear during the spring and early summer, cycling round with strings of onions festooned over their bikes, and usually doing a good trade.

hor hee hor hee hon.
I think the baguettes are archetypal French. They remind me of that French song..
Baguette, Gentil baguette, Baguette, Je te mangerais.

I wonder what a "USA stereotype" would look like today...   8}

I´m not as up-to-date concerning klicky-parts as I used to be, but I think the torso might be unique?
The only one I can think of with such large, blue horizontal stripes on an otherwise completely white torso, is the Rico Funpark Pirate (which is based on a older pirate from the year 2000) but I believe Rico comes with the sides and back of his torso in red (underneath his red jacket)...

Ok lets make a new thread for this and come up with a parts list. Then send our submission to Playmobil though they may see it as a PR nightmare...

I just wonder what the load is given the wheel arch is pushing down on the back wheel and the tyre seems deformed.

I had expected something like that  ;D

Looks like DT ate a whole lot lately when being in company of fat Kim, then flew back to Ramstein AFB and picked up Angela on his way home, then finally got impeached and robbed as well ...

Could it be the torso of the sailor in figures series 14?

Here’s the picture of Tim Tierman:

Does anyone knows of the legs are unique as well of the French guy? Haven’t seen them so far...

Just Auckland. It gets cold at night and where we are doesn't warm up until mid morning.

I don´t think it is the same torso. The Figures sailor comes with dark-blue stripes, from the picture it looks like Frenchie has mid-blue stripes... And I´m not sure if the V-neck from the sailor could be hidden completely by the red scarf.
The legs have come before with another klicky, but they´re not very common with those brown shoes.

They should do a whole range of national stereotypes. Dutch cheese seller dressed in orange, Scotsman in a kilt with a bottle of whisky, Norwegian fishmonger, Russian spy, Turkish kebab seller (exists), fat German with beer (exists) and so on.

Looks like we're getting the Scotsman, cross another one off the list. And instead of cheese seller, we do have at least one Dutch milkmaid, arguably a stronger stereotypical image.

It bears repeating though: playing up to national cultures and identities is a winning formula for PM in my opinion. The German museum specials and the Greek gods have been huge hits.
