Hi,
In another thread I mentioned that I was working on a custom for a German Playmo-Portal member based on this figure:
-
Well, here is the result:

another view:

That's very cool! Would you believe I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about this project? I was looking at some old style horses the other day and wondering how you were going to reconcile the width difference. I didn't even think to go look at the new style horses ::)
Good job!
-
The width of the klicky part is also different in comparison with the new horses; I used epoxy mass to equalize that and to fill up the mid section of the horse body to make it more useful (and natural) 8-) .
-
Magnificent!
-
I noticed that you 'filled out' the horse after I studied the pictures a bit. You did an excellent job balancing it all out, and smoothing it out. I can't see the transition between clay and playmo at all.
-
That's great Jean-Luc and a very original from your "customer".
-
Remarkable! :o
Considering the limitations posed by using playmo for the base, it's very similar to the original character. :)
I agree with Serenity. The quality of finish is always so high on your conversions that it's impossible to spot the 'joins'. You must have a lot of patience. 8-)

I was not completely satisfied with the texture of the hair, so I applied some grooves to it for more detail:
-
I did some on the back as well (and daylight is always a better light source):

Yes, it is a wonderful piece :)
-
Wow, that's excellent.
Great art work very neat, I like the hair, it does look like the original tail hair on the horse and goes really well with it.
The parts that hold the swords look familiar, are they the loops cut off the standard style sword belt?

Yes, they are. The loops already match the width of the sword so it was a logical choice.

amazing
