Hello! Here are some pics from the Schwabach exhibition this past weekend. Enjoy!

This diorama represented the town of Schwabach:

Red-hair-monks are rare because they are all in this diorama  ;) :

The figure "Schwabach Goldschläger (9211)" could be found in every diorama, but it was not always easy to find as in this one 8}

It was also possible to buy some 3D printed parts. The snooker table was amazing, but expensive, of course (you can see it well at the western diorama, next post)

The western diorama  The train was mentioned to be special, not original playmobil, but from another company before playmobil made their own. It was beautiful either way.  :)

Some custom houses and castles were on the stage on the exhibition room. Some of the fire brigade cars were made by a volunteer fire brigade from the region.

Last but not least, Romans and Egyptians (and some Super 4 visitors too!), in two different dioramas.

P.S.: I watched two other dioramas for a long time - and also because of that, forgot to take pics... :-[ If anyone has photos from the fairy-tale-diorama (with a quiz to find out which fairy tales were there, great idea) and the amazing Noah-diorama with lots and lots of animal-pairs boarding (some great queues there, as you can imagine), please post some, I'd love to see that again.  :)

Luftgaengerin thank you so much for posting all these pictures. We yanks see news of fantastic European exhibitions in the news thread and but the stories never have more than two or three tiny pictures. These images are a feast!  :thanks:

Some really stunning work there. That colosseum is one of the best I've seen - the crowd is carefully assembled and not thrown together haphazardly.  :paddy: :paddy: :paddy: :paddy:

Amazing dios!

Love those first steck buildings, and the one with the upper floors in System X! :o

And those are impressive ones too! Though I find it odd that all the monks are fat with red hair :P

Those little bridges near the large asian klicky look awesome.

AMAZING roman dio! That fortress!!

Many thanks for sharing :)

Hi Macruran, I looked at the pics again and there seems to be a golden dove on the standard, I guess - is that what you meant? Here is the detail:

Thanks Luftgaengerin! Yes the aquila is the golden eagle that each legion carried as a standard. This person seems to have made one by painting a PM dove gold and gluing it on the normal standard. Or are there official gold doves? I'd like to know how they matched the color and how exactly they attached the dove to the standard.

I see two other modified standards in your picture - how were they done I wonder?  :roman: ???

You're right Macruran - but I have no idea how they were done, I didn't meet the talented person responsible for this diorama...
As far as Animobil magnificent website goes, there is no golden dove, so it must be painted (http://www.animobil.info/text/3e258fc-1260.html). And the standard behind the dove has this "thunderbolts"-thing that e.g. Zeus has on this hands, I guess. Those are originally golden.

Ahhhh, and the other standard on the right side of the pic has this crown for children on top of it, me thinks:

That was an amazing exhibition.  Ishould imagine that you needed the two days it was on just to get round all the displays!

There are some amazing customs, especially in the buildings and I never expected to see System-X and Steck used together.

Well spotted, now I look closer I see the child is still wearing their crown. :o

I think this is meant to be an imagifer, a type of standard that has an image of the emperor. Either that or they're barbarian auxiliaries and they found some prince whose head wasn't attached strongly enough so they put it on a pole for safe keeping.  (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/Smileys/classic/sherlock.gif)

Thank you so much for taking us through the truly magnificent dioramas of this exhibition

I will have to revisit this thread to go through the amazing details of the scenes and amazing buildings  :lens:

I love details such as the roofer applying a gold leaf treatment to the roof which reminds me of Innsbruck's Goldenes Dachl or "Golden Roof"  :cloud9:
