Title: Mistake on the german catalog cover 2007
Post by: Tricornejock on March 01, 2007, 18:19:41
Hi!

I don´t know if the peoples of Playmobil learn about a world of horses before they start a new theme, or if the graphists have a very good humor when they made a cover of catalog ?

Anyway I find this morning a good jock, look a sattel of horse

Best regards,
TJ  :)

You can lead a blonde to water but....

Yes, backwards saddle. This isn't the first time. The 5767 Riding Lessons set from US Target had the blue saddled horse with the saddle on backwards on both the cover and box back. I have a scan of it somewhere I will post later.

one should mention that they at least corrected the mistake at the airport pages
from the last catalogue...

in the older version the telephone booth has been mounted only reachable for
veeeery tall playmos while it is now back on the ordinary size...   :yup:

I wonder if anybody will get into trouble for these mistakes.  :hmm:

Mistakes like these have appeared in the past too, on the Playpeole Knights Superset 1710 the flag on the pole is upside down, so you can see an upside down cross on the front box image. Also on the Doctors and nurses superset 1740 the nurses red collars are on back to front so that the opening is at the back.

Back to today, the 2007 UK catalogue which was last years 2006 German catalogue, Cinders hat (set 4213) is on backwards as well in the catalogue image.

As for that box back 5767 that Tiermann has posted, could get corrected and there could end up being 2 versions of that box in any future Playmo collectors guides.

Maybe it is deliberate?!! Is it possible? Some sort of secret joking or challenge?

Don't think they did it on purpose, just think that the design department and the ones who make the photo (photo department?) should sit together and discuss this more often.
