thanks Elaine, wasn't it heavy too?!
hey...they are quite big afterall  :)
(they need to be much bigger for trimming (Korean shields had inverted 'V's cut at the top for peering at 3-D arrowheads   :P)
but might be good for older chinese shields  ;D
(too bad the bigger 'shields' dont have handles)

My weighing scales won't register such small weights (under 1g) but I wouldn't have thought it was any heavier than any of the normal shields.  (I used a round viking shield for comparison)
The large 'shield' can be held also, photos show holding it using right hand piece, and left hand piece, but the klicky does overbalance using the left hand piece unless it is held higher.

Side view shows it held using left hand piece.

Hope this helps too!

I LOVE this set!! It would go great with the Victorian series that my daughter is getting for Christmas....now, if you don't mind me asking, how much is this set? Also, where does one get one? I'm in Canada and I'm not sure if it is just overseas that has it or not.... :)

I think it is only available in Germany at the moment, I got it on ebay de.  It cost me 11.99 euros.  I don't know if that is expensive for it, but I really wanted it!  :-[

thanks Elaine
so there are handles on these large shields too!
looks a bit short for a korean shield...which prompts me to wonder....there must be such shields too in other playmo sets! hmmmm  ;)

Junior suggested we could make up an army of Father Christmas figures carrying-  these 'shields'  - a scary thought!
