Title: Customs that I did NOT make
Post by: Meg on October 28, 2005, 16:52:18
The following customs were given to me.  I think they are very good, and would like to be able to show them off.

The first is a Victorian Police man.  It was made by a man in Canada, who gave this to me kind of as a trade.

The second is Pirate Grace O'Malley.  She was part of a gift giving exchange

The third is Mary Poppins.  She was also part of the gift giving exchange when Zina receiving Pirate Grace

Yes, Psyche
The figures are alive.
That is why so many people open up their MIB boxes right away.
They are afraid their little people are suffocating

What those people dont know is that the little people are in a form of suspended animation when they are in a PM box, or bag.  When fresh air contacts the little people, they are woken from their deep sleep.  So the little people arent suffereing when they have been packed by the factroy.  It is a trade secret the Geobra guards with all sorts of measures.  Fans of Playmobil have no reason to try and discover the secret since they appreciate that the little people do not suffer when they are packed away so carefully.

Especially MIB!  :o

Thanks for the info Meg! My klickys always just "play dead" when I'm about. Of course I assumed that like all toys they come to life at night. That's the only way to explain how my nicely organized Playmo "room" turns into such a disorganized mess!  :-[

I didnt have many dolls because I was a tom boy.

Sorry to freak you out, Serenity  :P
But you should know that klickies dont have to be rescued from MIB boxes ;)

Hello Meg

Thank you for sharing your collection with us. I was also found your information on Playmobil's packaging process very interesting indeed :D. I am getting quite worried about those MIB specials i have hidden away under my desk, i hope they will be ok :(.

Regards  Tim  :)

the suspended animation that the klickies are in is amazing
they can be in a comatose state for years and not suffer.
they dont age, at all
And their box protects the skin from the damamging ultra violet rays of the sun
So dont worry about your MIB sets.
Those klcikies are very comfortable

So now I can stop worrying about all my MIB klickys and start worrying about all the ones in plastic bags that I have bought in misc. used odd lots and haven't gotten around to unpacking yet!      ::)

if they are packed in plastic bags with other playmobil figures, or with their original accessories, something strange happens.
Maybe it happens because they are denied light, I am not quite sure.
But the figures settle each other down, and go into self induced comas,  and with figures packed with their original acccessories, the figures somehow know it is safe to go into a coma.

You are right Anne.
The loose figures do require attention, more than the MIB people.
But if they have been treated well, when they were packed away, they will survive the containment.

Geobra is just amazing with how well they plane for their people to last.
