:-[ I'm sorry to pry, but I'm clearly missing something ...

I can answer my own question, thanks to the power of a search engine: https://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=2210.0 [Reply #8]. Thank you, Richard, for being at the cradle of all this.

Still curious to know who was flying whose helicopter to Zirndorf ...  :yup:

Thanks for sharing that, Frans. I started a new topic to show Richards work for Playmobil Collectors to a wider audience.

I also loved this idea of 'camouflage' from Timotheos talking about collectors who seem to have 'disappeared';

"Where are they now? .... Do people get bored, move on?  Do their kids grow up and they lose the passion / camouflage? "
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)
