Welcome to the last afternoon session of Group Rounds here in the Marketon Jousting Tournament
We begin with Group E
Sir Alexander of Korent will be up first

Jousting against Sir Adler of Saxony

A quick run there, it looks like another case where the shield type has worked against the knight. If Sir Alexander had a typical heater shield instead he likely wouldn’t have been dinged in the head by Sir Adler. He did get a shield hit for a point though.
Score Sir Adler 2 points, Sir Alexander one

Better shield placement this run keeps it to a shield strike on both sides.
That gives Sir Adler 3 points and the win of this round.
He’s having a great tournament so far with wins in all three matches he’s played and now a berth in the playoffs.

Our second match for Group E will be between Sir Cygnet

and Sir Cecil of Ethero Valley

Everyone is looking well settled in to tournament play at this stage, we have shield strikes for one point by both knights

The second run is the same as the first. The two seem well matched and gain another shield strike each.
Tied now at 2-2

Ah, some clever shield play there helps Sir Sygnet avoid getting hit this time. He still managed to get a shield hit against Sir Cecil though giving him one more point.
That’s three points for Sir Cygnet and he wins the match, his first win of the tournament.
For Group E then we have Sir Adler with his three wins advancing to the playoffs as well as Sir Alexander of Korent with his two wins from rounds 1 and 2.

Moving on to Group F now
All four knights in this group have won one match each. That guarantees that the winners of today’s matches will move on to the playoffs.
The first matchup is between Sir Paul E Merous
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%203/F/1/mj-3-f-1-1.jpg)
-
and Sir Bartholomew Hale

Wham! It’s our first unhorsing of the afternoon. Sir Paul’s years of experience pay off with a great technique getting his lance under Sir Bartholomew’s shield and throwing him.
Sir Bartholomew seems to have a good technique for falling, more graceful than a lot of the knights.
I’m sure he will be happy to hear it, Vanidel
Er, um, yes.
The win to Sir Paul E Merous gives him two wins which in this group will be enough to move him on to the playoffs.
-
Moving on now we have Lord Alderran of Avelina coming back to the field. The crowd is giving him a nice round of applause.
Good to see him back, after yesterday it seemed a bit dicey.
The effects of the head injury don’t seem to be bothering him today.
We won’t really be able to tell until play starts.
-
His opponent is Sir Odysseus from Ithaca
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%203/F/2/mj-3-f-2-2.jpg)
Both the golden dragons coming up against each other this round
-

Wow! Lord Alderran isn’t wasting any time showing he still means business in this tournament! He’s unhorsed Sir Odysseus handily and guaranteed himself a spot in the playoffs.
Nicely played there, best way to avoid risk of further head injury really.
That concludes the Group Rounds for E and F
From Group E we have Sir Adler of Saxony and Sir Alexander of Korent moving on to the playoffs, and from Group F it will be Sir Paul E Merous and Lord Alderran of Avelina.
-
YEAH!! Go Sir Alderran...Go Avelina!!
-
Go Argenland and Sir Paul! :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead:

-
It's sad to be unhorsed! but if it is going to happen i prefer it from a friend like Sir Alderran.
Myathe dragons prevail!!!!
Go! Go! Yellow Dragons!!!

General Sir Agnar was hoping for a joust against the Lord from Ithaca ...
'Better luck next time ' he tells Odysseus and offers some good Krull's Ale from his homeland
