Brilliant review and photos Birdie! Thank you for posting this. Modern living isn't one of the themes I collect, but I really enjoyed seeing all the details of this Somehow the gift shop is calling to me (damn those postcards!) - now how can I fit that into a medieval setting? lol
Just decided I will buy the extra floor tomorrow anyone ideas on how to make it look less 'hotel ish' since it will function as an apartment for poor students....?
Your whole medieval setup could be one of those ''living museums'' where people dress up as medieval people. Then you could have the hotel outside for tourists. Shared rooms/bathrooms. Books and junk everywhere.
That's actually a really good idea. Put two twin beds in each room, old-style tube TVs, mis-matched furniture, have desks in each room with laptops and open books. Leave the tile stickers off in the bathrooms so they don't look up to date. Better yet, just have one shared bathroom per floor if it can be arranged that way. No palm trees out front but instead some boring bushes.
