These are by a company called "Superior." Sorry I could not find better images.

Some of these sets actually look interesting - especially IMO the Trojan Horse!

And here are a couple more...

The store where I saw these, which specializes in toy soldiers, sells them for between $25 and $45 depending on the set, and actually lists them as "Playmobile" Style Playsets. Yes, the misspelling is theirs. Ack!

Here are a couple of examples of Minis from Dragon Models Ltd.
(Exactly the same size as Playmobil!)

I agree Cap'n ...

Have you ever seen any of them in the stores?

No Richard, I have never seen them in person. If I ever get to Michigan, which is where the toy soldier company is located, I will have to see if I can eyeball the sets in person.

Also, those Dragon figures you posted are quite interesting. They seem to be a mix between Playmobil and Lego mini figures. The shape of their heads reminds of of the Art Asylum line of Minimates. These are smaller than klickies, measuring only about 2 1/4 inches tall. They specialize in superheroes and special movie sets, such as the Back to the Future set pictured below.

Hello, Henry ...

Also, those Dragon figures you posted are quite interesting.

The Dragon Minis line was quite extensive. It extended from Japanese Samurai to WWII Germans to quite a number of more modern figures.  To me, they seemed very anime in appearance.

All the best my friend,
Richard

Im a little Play-Big collector so here some pictures and Important links.

My highlights from Play-Big are a FRAMEHOUSE, the Vikings and Vikingship and the german Army (Bundeswehr).

There are two differents Play-Big and Play-Big 2000 !
At Play-Big 2000 there are some body parts to click to the Figure, Amour and more.

Thanks for all the pics guys! These are all very interesting, and many lines I have never seen or heard of before.

Interesting how many themes do crop up repeatedly - Romans, Vikings, Western - and how some have preceded Playmobil, like the Egyptians and Greeks (I'm hoping Playmo eventually do an ancient Greek theme, with Trojans and Carthaginians as rivals, and they could do a complete set of mythological beasts!).

One theme Playmo have never done (I just know someone's going to prove me wrong) is Superheroes. Presumably they'd have to invent their own, and then explain what their powers are.
