well richard, not quite.
what i remember were exact replicas of the silors i showed above, standing on a very non-custom schooner.
when i saw identical ones for sale i decided to try to know if they really existed oficially.
i am now gessing that they don't.
meanwhile, revisiting this issue is making me obsessed with the idea of a larger marine/ sailor/ navy/ 18th/ 19th century ship.

can you imagine a big ship filled with sailors as the perfect company for a ship filled with pirates?
(i hope that playmobil has some spies in this forum)

At the risk of sounding pretentious, could it have been my Royal navy frigates. I customized a different crew for each, and the one on the right is very close to what you have posted...

maybe this was it captain.
a very beautiful custom.
seeing the way you crowded your frigates, i am sure you agree with me when i speak of the need for a new playmobil royal navy big ship.

I am very happy that Cachalote finally found the sailors that he has been looking for ...  :yup:

And, Cachalote and Cap'n Henry, now that MacGayver has arrived, maybe you will both get your wish to see a LARGE pirate-hunter ... ;)

Because ... It's very doubtful that Playmobil will ever build any beautiful large ships like the ones that we have seen come out of MacGayver's wonderful shipyard ... :)

All the best,
Richard

well richard,
if i only had the time to produce a large ship i would do it.
i was trying to spare me the work by expecting playmobil to do it for me.
one as big as the 3940 would do fine.
(actually, on as big as the 3750 could make me perfectly happy).

we could always create a petition and send it to playmobil
http://www.petitiononline.com/create_petition.html
does any of you have an e.mail adress?
who's with me? captain henry? hadoque? deadeye dick? macgayver? customizer?

I would gladly sign a petition, but wouldn't it be easier to raid the Playmobil design offices and hold the designers captive until they gave us what we want? ;) Seems more piratey than a petition! :D:D:D:D:D

you are quite right captain.
a need as important and essential as this deserves extreme measures.
to do it properly, though, we should do it by boat, landing an assault party on a beach.
are the playmobil design offices near the sea?
does anyone know?
i am already starting to sharpen my cutlasses...

Ah ...  :hmm:

I can see it now.

An assault on Klicky Towers by a group of Playmobil Pirates! ...  :arrr:

Playmobil Pirates  ... fresh from the warm waters of the Caribbean ...  sloshing their way through the January-February snows of Zirndorf.

Their teeth chattering and their hands frozen to the steel of their cutlasses ... :arrr:

Please take lots of photos ... ;)

All the best from the US Virgin Islands,
Richard
