Looks like you get the blisters instead- they are cheaper and with a lot more usable figures. I wish, we could get them in Germany...

Not just the US, the Specials in most of the international markets are re-releases of past ones. For most items Playmobil makes there is a year delay between release to the German market and release internationally. The exception has been Specials. I suspect the volume on the Specials got too high to do the whole world at the same time, so they are doing a delay year. Hopefully next year here in the US we will get the Specials that are out in Germany currently. We will know when we see the 2010-2011 international catalog.

I was looking through the us catalog the other day and it said back by popular demand. I bought a couple of blue knights, a cowboy and the courageous knight. In the package was old literature from 2005. Looks like they were in some warehouse and wanted to get rid of them IMHO. It was nice to get them though.

YES....and the statement "by popular demand" is a LIE >:D

And we in Hong Kong have the 4589 4632 and 4633...and the rest are like fillers :hmm:

the arab warrior was handy for customising knights. over here, in malta, i can't find the crusader special anymore, and even much newer specials (like the SWAT policeman) are hard to come by. all i can find is the lamer specials, like the fantasy knight with wings, the ice-cream eating children and so on. grrr. i don't mind the blisters, but more often than not you end up having to fork out for two figures when all you want is one of them - the new pirate/redcoat combo is a case in point ...
