Can anyone give opinions on DS 7774 Rock Temple
« on: June 04, 2013, 02:29:31 »
Hi All,

I'm kind of going back and forth on the DS  7774 Rock Temple set.  It's currently on the last chance section of the Playmobil US site.  I was wondering if anyone has this set, or perhaps the larger original set it was part of, and could give your thoughts on it?  Perhaps you can give me the motivation to pull the trigger.  If you are able to take some more detailed pics of it too, that would be really appreciated.

I have the full version of this and it is absolutely wonderful!

I don't know about the DS version because most of the set is not there ...  The figures are great and the crystal prison and the rocks and the bridge (with the collapsing sections) and the "all seeing eye" of Sauron (well, maybe it's not of Sauron, but ...) and the beautiful box.

If you have lots of the other stuff (rocks, bridge, other figures) then this is well worth getting!  If you can find the full set, that's well worth getting too.  It also seems to me (at least the ones I have found lately) are not that much more for an used 3841.

Always did like this set, doesnt fit in with what I have but it seems to be a full adventure on its own.

An evil queen/sorceres, her henchmen and pet panther, magical eye and sword, a princess in distress, a brave hero to save her, and a rotating throne so that the villain can escape and return another day.

As I mentioned in my recent intro, this was the first set I ever bought (the full one) and I still love it.  The one that they're selling on DS is a *great* price, particularly if you already own other rocks/plants/figures that would compliment the set.

Hope you enjoy it! ;D

I hope you enjoy the set and post loads of photos I can't speak from personal experience but, it always looked amazing in the catalogue and as others have said plenty of play value and great figures I always liked the look of the Dragon Knights and indeed the Prince looks like a ncie figure, I did have the Dragon with Prince on horseback from the same theme which I'm sure would look great with this set as well  :)

I think it's a great addition to a magic/fantasy collection.  Hope you like it.
I found my 3841 on e-bay under the listing of "Playmobil Occult" set.

That was funny...
