Baby harness
« on: December 01, 2010, 04:57:12 »
Ok. I know this is definitely not the most brilliant custom in the world or anything, but I was fooling around this afternoon with not enough to do, and I was trying to make a harness for baby-wearing. This is what I came up with.

I asked Chris what he thought, and my loving husband said something like "It's ok as long as you don't look too close."  >:(

 I think I sort of have to agree with his take on it, but I didn't think it was that bad.  :-[ Decided to share it anyway; maybe someone else will come up with a better way to do this!

yeah!!! It is very cool! I think in fact is better that the yellow sling of the special 4619! This one is too bulky!

It's just plastic craftlace, the kind kids weave those little keychains out of. Does anyone know what I mean by that? That may be just a US thing -- I don't know.

I wanted this kind of harness instead of a sling because it's good for carrying the old style babies that don't bend in the middle.

Great idea bonnie, and I dont think the excecution is that bad. If you want to improve maybe you should do it with fabric and go for something like this?

It looks great, Bonnie.

I use the 3 feet approach. When it looks good at 3 feet, I'm happy.

Yes, I was thinking about doing that next. I was looking at this one, which is very similar. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3546629

The first one was modeled more after this one. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3359091 babies always look so cute in this with their little feet hanging out and kicking! Sorry. My feminine side is showing.

I looked it up, and that's what they are! I don't think they really have a name here, but scoobies sounds good.

What a great idea Beth,  I think it looks great.
I have a load of these 'scoobies' in different colours to spare if anyone wants any!
