I haven't yet decided what the nationality is of these people. They could be Parthian, Sassanid, Palmyrene, Hatrene, Armenian, or something else. They could be enemies or allies of Rome, depending on the time or one's whim.

I've actually used all three of the wise men as kings for my various North African and Arabian groups.

I'm pleased you plan to read Homer's epics. While The Odyssey is a good read overall, I'd recommend reading the Iliad selectively. While it's no doubt an important text and excellent in many respects, the countless sacrifices get repetitive and Achilles comes across as a spoiled, whiny, little child throughout most of it. Still, don't let that discourage you, as it does have some great parts and superb battles.
