Gigantic enterprise, Giorginetto! End of an era, indeed.

Somehow it now feels like the soldiers are moving out of the city and everyone is preparing to move out.  :)

... in extremely orderly fashion, because the domino effect is looming  ;D

phew...I haven't seen a private collection on such a scale.  Magnificent!! 8}  And what a confrontation looming. The aftermath would be incredible...but terrifying.

Seeing this again since some time...your collection is breathtaking.

The pictures of the massed lance troops got me thinking that it would be cool to recreate one of those medieval battle paintings in klicky fashion. I'm talking about ones like these:

Yes - that would be incredible.  Actually, using playmobil to recreate so many of the old classics would be an interesting project.  I wonder if anyone has had a go at the last supper? 8-)

Uncle Google knows.

I myself have done a Rousseau, and have plans for another painting recreation. Hey maybe I'll do it for the Photo Contest!

Not bad 8-)  A Rousseau you say!  Did it have an elephant in it..? ;D  I think you'd better repost that baby so I can run my critical eye over it :P

An elephant? Why it did now that you mention it! I'll link to the original post to avoid threadjacking overmuch, as I am wont to do.
