PLAYMOBIL EGYPTIAN DESIGNS

While we all wait to see the first pictures of the NEW Playmobil Egyptians, the folks at GW thought that everyone might enjoy looking at Gordon Smuder's wonderful Playmobil Egyptian designs from the 1980's.

NOTE: Over the years Playmobil has used several of Gordon's designs to produce new figures and accessories.

as far as I heard, and its existance is mentioned in one of the Playmobil guides, is that the Mississipe steamboat was ready to be produced when they decided not to. Too expensive.

I remember vaguely to have seen pics - but these can have been of a custom. But that's all I know...
I am quite sure though that someone had made a wonderfull custom of it anyway.

Mind-blowing

I nearly fell off my chair in surprise when I saw this list! It has completely exceeded my expectations! Shocked

Although we haven't seen any pics yet, I'm sure these sets will be a dream come true for many adult collectors.

Thanks for relaying weinchylein's information, Andi! Love
And a very big THANK YOU to the team in Zirndorf for listening to our pleas for more historical sets! Flowers

I'm also looking forward to seeing the new modern house and room sets. It's going to be an amazing year! Cheesy

 Woohoo!
Egyptian theme, wow too good to be true!!!

For the picture of the first steamboat, fantastic use of parts, amazing.
The second one looks the part as well, great idea to stuff it full of cotton!
the hans beck prototype, i must have seen it at playmoboard.
