Playmobil 4481 greenhouse
« on: May 12, 2017, 12:39:34 »
Some Playmobil sets contains a little extra that you don't expect. It makes the set just a little more fun and interesting.
Included with Playmobil 4481 greenhouse is a tray to grow up cresses. I just wondered if this would work, so why not try it out? So I bought cress seeds, and filled the tray with water. According to the manual on the sack with seeds they can be grown all year round, as long as the room is about 20 degrees Celsius. And more fun, cresses contains a lot of vitamine C, and are delicious in sandwiches and salads.

The manual of Playmobil 4481 tells you how to grow up the cresses.

Now just wait and see. ;)

The first roots and leafs are coming.

For Macruran, some pictures of the gatekeepers cottage (rebuild from a Pola kit). Bü = Bahnübergang (= railwaycrossing).

They are growing fast at the moment, and every two days I turn the tray. The cresses are growing to the light, and in order to let them grow upright I turn the tray regularly. In ten days they are ready to consume. It is so much fun that I am looking for a second tray.
