The conversation with him was half in German or more so I may not have understood everything.  Hopefully things can change more now that Hane is gone

I don't even know what to say to that.

Makes one wonder. What IS playmobil's goal?

Ganz ehrlich?

To be honest: making money (and granting employees and their families a living)  ;). And considering those tiny red and yellow SysX-micro-connectors I only too well do understand parents and children appreciating ready-to-play not first-to-be-fiddled-with buildings.

That Eiffeltower looks fantastic! What a great idea! But which building part have you used for it ?(I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with the buildings.. due to lack of space I mainly collect klickies)

To be honest: making money(...)

That one I know FOR SURE it isn't. Or at least, not our dirty foreign money.

And considering those tiny red and yellow SysX-micro-connectors I only too well do understand parents and children appreciating ready-to-play not first-to-be-fiddled-with buildings.

Of course, cause it's not FUN! Building with systemX is an horrid experience. With Steck, the building process was part of the fun.

Well, a lot of half height foundations, that's for sure ;)  (think 7400!)

Cool. A recent discussion I can fully jump in. :)

First on topic: Michael, the tower is amazing. I remember you talking about this, but seeing you doing it is stunning as always!
(saw the pictures on facebook first, and maybe those made me want to come back!)

Second off topic: I also participated in this meeting and not sure about the exact wording, but this discussion about Playmo as a construction toy also hit me hard. I remember Andrea Schauer energetically explaining to us that Horst Brandstätter and her were trying hard to enter the market with Playmobil as a construction toy since the seventies but failed, because kids preferred LEGOs to Playmobil.
Richard, I am afraid even Horst - when he woke her up at night - got this story about how they lost this war over and over again... ...and had this discussion over and over again. ;)

best,
socrates
