I like them, and agree that the new indians would be a good starting point as well. They look like flower fairies to me. Go look at the Schleich fairy types to see a butcher version, associated with wildlife rather than plants. A bear fairy is a whole other category. Like they should be running a coffee shop or something.

mmm what a pickle! :hmm:

well...I think you couldn't have chosen a better title for these customs.  ;D
They look like "fairy boys"..... but not male fairies, if you know what I mean  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Sorry I don't mean to mock your work, I just don't see them as what I would want from Playmobil.

Seriously, male fairies ARE NEEDED in that theme.  ;D
But I see them in my mind, let's say, like a typical playmo-Prince with the fairy-wings. A crown of leaves instead of golden crown, earthy natural colors, not flowers really needed, no purple nor pink nor anything girlie. Something like that. A fairy clicky a boy would like too

No worries... they are not exactly what I want either... they just look a little "off". I personally would like the male fairy to be a little more "ethereal", and not just a prince with wings. I don't know... I guess we'll wait and see what (if anything) Geobra comes out with.

pics of the speedo fairy? ;)

I had posted this photo a while back, from one of the Halloween dioramas... I hesitate to call it a true custom... it's pretty much just speedo man with a bunch of stuff glued on. :)

I like him too - but prefer the more flowery ones ;)   My sister liked them too :)

It's a shame we don't have those legs with sandals or something.

I can imagine how Speedo Dad might work as a Fairy but, to me that one's just too pink and sparkly so not my taste really  :(

To me, those fairies have NOTHING to do with elves. Or fantasy (LotR = fantasy)... There's the flowery fairies - that I never really liked until my sister fixed the color-blind person's work (pics of our fairies in the PROCESS.. somewhere).. And there's fantasy, with wizards, dragons, and such.

LOTR elves are certainly different from fairies. But they'd be more accepted by mainstream parents than bare-chested men with flower wreaths and pink wings, if you know what I mean. EmGee's customs are great, but I don't see a big toy company producing them like that. I like Tonguello's idea of doing earthy colors and avoiding the flowers.

Yeah, prejudice is quite common.

Anyways, I love the flowery ones.. Though I'm ALL for earthy colors. Those would be amazing, and the colors useful for... well.. just about everything.
