Newcomer?
« on: May 18, 2015, 16:29:05 »
I found this klickette in a French ebay shop. I can't track her down through PlaymoDB. Any ideas? Feet may not belong, but the arms, torso and skirt all fit together well.
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Never seen her before. Maybe she came with a magazine or something?

She is from the Princess Anniversary Set 5456

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5456

she is part number

30 14 6540

But she has a different hairstyle (the one she is supposed to have is the newer short blonde wig and she looks much better with it)

Thanks leefert!

I thought so too... so I resorted to searching images of the princesses.  You're welcome.  I think she's one of the prettier ones

Many thanks, leefert. I agree about the hair. She also needs gold feet to match the original. No wonder I couldn't find her in the DB, most of the details are given as unknown, apart from long skirt and white torso, nothing much to pin her down! I will submit corrections when I receive her.
Edit: Oh, I have her, one of my children has that set!

Done, thanks Graham. (Heads up, Graham says her face is not the same as above, either, but has rosy cheeks and lower lashes.) I'm so far behind in klicky-describing, it's ridiculous. In the meantime, though, "Klickies by Theme" might be useful for those looking for something. The "Specials associated with this theme" list is done by hand and is therefore incomplete, but the rest is automatic as klickies get assigned to set inventories.
PlaymoDB.org has catalogued over FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND parts in more than 6100 sets. Come and visit to find any set or part numbers you need to know!

I'm so far behind in klicky-describing,

Dinnae fash yersel (don't fret) Heather, the DB is still the most useful PM website out there. It could take over your whole life, just keeping it up to date. I think you do pretty well adding in the new sets and parts as they emerge.

One thing which makes klicky-describing a time-consuming job is trying to describe the printing. For the leg printing of this figure I came up with "front panel of white stars outlined in light blue with yellow background; red edge to panel" but Heather had only room for the first part (in italics). And trying to search one of the 'printing' lists in Find a Klicky is very hard work! But it is still the best way to track a klicky down to its set. I just couldn't get it to find this one (I usually ignore hair type/colour and all printing when using Find a Klicky; I also ignored the feet on this one).

I AGREE 100%  It's a wonderful site that is helpful to so many!  And a task that I admit there is no way that I could ever be that organized.
