Among the arrivals some time ago, I got this... what in Tartarus is this?   ???

That isn't it, exactly, but it's something like. There are a couple of parts like this in the new HTTYD sets according to PlaymoDB, but there aren't any illustrations yet.

Thanks GrahamB - not a "future part" though..  This didn't come from Malta or anything like that.. came in a local lot, with these:

(along with part of an old famobil castle.. )

The seller also had a pirate ship, but I didn't get it..

Maybe it's not playmobil? But sure looks like it  ???

Could this be it?

Clamp for end of triple ballista bow, large, from set 4867 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-21-7832) 

I found it among the other parts in the same category from the Playmodb link that Graham provided.  In your last picture, tahra, it looks like you've got some other stuff from 4867, as well.   :)

I suppose the ballista is incomplete then - I didn't notice  ::) 

Might have to try and get a second one, right?  ;)

I figured the pic of the arrivals should help, since most stuff belonged to a few sets...
