Hello everybody!
Since I'm new here, I thought I'd do a quick introduction. I'm Keesinho, a Dutch fan of Playmobil, ever since I was 4. That was quite some time ago though, but over the years, I kept my love for playmobil! A few years ago I started collecting my favorite childhood toy again!
My main collector's focus lies on the Playmo Western themed sets as I loved them so much as a kid. I'm trying to collect all the sets (and if possible with the original box) but I'm nowhere near that goal yet. But that's the main fun of collecting isn't it? Once its completed, you are ..errr..done :)
Hopefully I'll meet like minded people here, who love to share stories of their playmo-hunting at flea-markets, ebay and who knows where. The search is probably the most rewarding part of the hobby :)
Next to collecting the sets, I love to customize and restore old klickies. Disassembling them, restoring their often weakened frame to full strength, and of course creating all sorts of new figures.
Have fun, and keep collecting! ;)

Hello and :welcome: to Playmofriends from Greece!
The western theme is my third favourite, after knights and pirates, and I find that even when completed a collection is never done, you constantly add touches to your collection that you never want to finish ;D
Hope you enjoy the forum! Great yo have you with us

Western is one of my favourite themes as well, and I have been trying to collect every set too. I'm nearly there - just a few more to go! :D

Welcome! I joined a few days ago and have been impressed with the wealth of information on here. Good luck with your goal to rebuild your western themed collection. I too am on a similar quest since my childhood involved those figures and sets too.

I'm quite sure "Keesinho" stands for "Kees in Holland", "Kees" being his name and "Holland" the Dutch Province he lives in... ;)

Welcome from Pennsylvania, Keesinho. Good to have you aboard!

Welcome from Amsterdam, Keesinho! Western theme was my first Playmobil- love, I still have the sherrifs' office, Bank, Saloon, Blacksmith and the Headquarters at home. Tip: check on eBay the shop of "hanzalkmaar", lots of western houses, fortresses etc, some in ovp and as it's dutch as well, the costs for shipping wil be lower ( maybe you can pick it up there if you're living closeby.
Now I'm crazy about the exotic warriors (I make chess sets) and knights, for making "The Story of Randolph" comic, you can find in the "story telling" area
I hope you will enjoy this forum.

Hi,
a warm welcome from Germany across the border to the netherlands or really Holland (Noord- of Zuid-?)?
I live near Nijmegen, so I'm pretty close to Deutschland :
Many thanks to all the warm welcomes, and its great to find fellow Western collectors here as well! I must admit, that if I had the space and money available, I'd also be collecting Knights and Pirates..but I'm saving that for another decade I think :P

In portuguese, adding "inho" or "inha" makes for little something ;)

Nijmegen is also a parachute drop zone in Fort Bragg. I have not jumped it in several years but it was a particularly nasty one. I recall it eating 12 parachutes one afternoon. It is bordered by rows of really tall North Carolina style pine trees that were magnets for paratroopers that cold not steer their parachutes. The rusting laundry machines and other debris were just additional bonus items to try and avoid when landing.

Welcome from the little trilangual country, finally with a federal government!
I really like the western theme too. I've just recently visited a second hand Playmobil shop in Wageningen, worth a visit if you're looking for any spare parts.
