Title: a few questions about the Dutch DS service.
Post by: Rhalius on October 03, 2011, 22:33:21
I am planning to place a small order online, and it says it takes five days to arrive.
Does anyone know if it tends to arrive earlier or days later?

It might be different for each country, so I'd love to hear it about the Dutch service. (which seems to have a poor selection compared to other countries and no good sales)

And is it possible to just ask for any kind of additional parts even if its not on the DS service?

Like some gold pieces, chests, furniture and such? I got my eyes on the yellow medieval house, but it would be nice to have a table and some chairs to put in there.
Does that house have a top floor by the way?

It sounds like you need to put in a spare parts order. You can use paymodb: http://playmodb.org/ to find the part numbers of the items you are looking for, and then submit an order by email, or if it's only a few items, you can do it by phone. You can find more info on how to submit a parts order here: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=7936.0 They will send you back a form telling you what is available, and the prices, and telling you how to arrange payment.

But how DS works varies from country to country.  For example, US DS lets you telephone in big orders but UK DS doesn't.

Thanks for the help. I tried calling them but no one answered, I will try again tomorrow.

I just want to order four items aside from official DS stuff.
4x gold pieces to better fill up treasure chests.
4x a wooden bed.
1x a medieval table.
4x a medieval stool.

Not the official numbers and descriptions which I did write down, but it seems nice enough to decorate the house with.
Aside from that I plan to get the yellow medieval house, three lion knights, market stall, STECK pirates prison, a small stable and a fence.
Seems to be enough for the most basic village set up.

I want to call to send my order, but I have no idea what I am supposed to dial.

This is what they give as a phone number:

Per tel: +32 ( 0 ) 15/45.35.25

But the number is not in use, it does look like half a math quiz though so I have no idea what they mean with it. Is it a choice between 15 and 45 that there is a slash there? is the 0 optional?

I tried various things with it but its never in use.

The number I once called is: 00 or +32 15 45 35 35 you get a nice flemish speaking lady on the phone who is very helpfull.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, but DS sets can not be placed in the same order as loose parts. If I remember correctly it's because they're not sorted in the same location. So you have to expect that for both orders seperate postage will be added.

@ Rhalius
Have you already contacted the DS service, I'm curious because I think I'm going to order some loose parts too.
The gold for instance like you, saw already it has a lot of different order numbers.

The phonenumber is correct, but when calling in from outside Belgium you have to trop the 0, cause that one is only for national calls. So: ++3215453525.
When you phone again, please give my best regards to Sarah  ;)

Btw, for loose-parts orders from Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg, since a while you now have to send the official order-form from Playmobil-DS BeNeLux with every parts-order, fully filled in & signed!!
You're still allowed to add (an)excel-page(s) for large orders, but they won't accept exel-sheets anymore without the official order-form (which they will email to you on request).

The last time I wanted to place a large order, I was told that I wasn't allowed to order more than 25 differen items. So no large orders allowed.

They don't like money. I don't get it.

I wasnt able to dial succesfully yet, and now I am waiting a little while since I need the order to be delivered during the week, it can't arrive during the weekend.

Looks like I wont be ordering the loose parts since theres no telling when that order would come in and would be send if it cant be ordered by phone or anything.

Maybe I will even keep the entire hold for longer since I might be without a job soon.
