Impossible to find these here in greece. Playmobil Hellas does not allow them being sold, or given away. all dioramas/ displays and big figures are removed for destruction or recycling.

IDIOTS. They don't like money. I'm becoming more and more convinced. But years ago there was a catalog of those big ones... Unfortunately I stopped buying around that time, and never got one... BUT I WILL!

I have a space dio, bought from ebay...

Well, its not that they dont like money, they do, otherwise they would offer us some kind of price reduction for so many sets we bought from them over the past years...

They are more concerned with the use of them by the person who would buy them. For example, the big klicky is a trademark that ''here we sell playmobil toys''... people have associated the big klicky with that fact. If they go to a place where there is a big klicky but no playmobil to buy, that will have a direct impact back at them. How do they allow big klickies to places where no playmobil are sold, people may think. Once someone had given away a big pirate captain and that klicky ended up outside a bar in Crete... the bar was called ''The Pirate''... I dont know what impact that had to people, but playmobil hellas officials came back with a court order and removed the klicky... It is sad and pity that has to be that way but the head office in Germany dictates these policies...

schaukasten is a poster i think, or a board in which a poster goes? or the entire case in which the diorama/poster is placed... something like that...

I would love to get some of these. :-\ Our TRU is closing and opening a new location, so all merchandise and furniture is being sold. But they said the showcases are dealer owned and they can't sell them. :(

i have some of those ceiling-hanging carboard ads - got them from a local retail store in California a few years ago

i don't have any of the displays but they can be easily made at home and even better looking (i've seen some being auctioned on ebay at ridiculous starting prices...)

i would definately love to have one of those life size klickies - or at least a medium size one (the ones that come by halves to hang on the wall)

I have two of those cube lamps.. have no idea where to put them though.. since I doubt they give much light, right?

And I have a Viking cardboard thing, I think where the boxes go...

I MUST have one of those big guys. MUST.

I always wondered... are these sold to your contact by playmobil, are they given away? how do they forbit selling of these in one country and allow it in another?   ??? ??? ??? I always wondered how people come by these... its impossible for us.

There is a playmobil store here in Tacoma Washington USA adjacent to a bar.  Somehow I think the bar purchased the store's Giant Pirate Clicky because there is now a giant pirate clicky in the window display of the Bar.  Depending on the season, he is seen wearing different (nonplaymobil) accessories, including a santa hat and cat ears.  I mistakenly walked into the bar my first time, thinking it was the entrance to the playmobil store.  I was confused why the clicky was there, and not in the playmobil store instead.

btw, I saw a red schooner pirateship display on sale on ebay more than once.  I've always wanted  it.

well, actually, i don't drink :p

but it is kinda disturbing to know that there is a bar adjacent to a playmobil store, and the mascot for the bar display window is a giant pirate clicky.  I was suprised to hear of another story here on this thread about a giant pirate clicky being used in a bar!  Apparently it's not so unheard of!  Most irresponsible drinkers might stumble out of a bar and commit a whole array of sordid indiscretions including waking up next to someone they don't know, or in a place they are unfamiliar with;  were I a drinker and had actually patroned the adjoining bar next to the playmobil store, I can imagine stumbling out of the bar only to wake up the next morning next to a giant pile of blue boxes in my bedroom accompanied by an empty wallet, having gone on a drunken Playmobil shopping spree!!

Atto, the same thing happened in the islad of Crete.... someone had placed a giant pirate klicky captain outside of a bar called ''the pirate'' people thought it had to do something with playmobil, so playmobil hellas officials showed up and cleaned up the mess... this is the basic reason for not allow giving away these klickies and dioramas. they can't be sure how the buyer will use them...

I always wondered... are these sold to your contact by playmobil, are they given away? how do they forbit selling of these in one country and allow it in another?   ??? ??? ??? I always wondered how people come by these... its impossible for us.

As far as I know, the "official" geobra position on these different items is as follows:

"Schaukasten"-Display can be sold by the retailers (who order them and probably pay for them) or sent back to geobra after some time (when the theme is no longer new).

"Aufsteller" (the cardboard-stands where the boxes - or catalogues - are put on) are not meant to be sent back and can be purchased by customers (I have actually been offered one once that was almost empty but in good shape after asking politely what would happen to it).

"Big klickys" (they come in at least two sizes 85cm and 160cm roughly) are NOT meant to be sold and HAVE to be sent back to geobra...
BUT: Some shop-owners seem to find a way around that (reporting the klickies damaged, stolen or missing maybe) or there may be exceptions for some types of them AFTER the theme has completely gone out of production.

These are my experiences with these items so far. Some of it is guesswork.

Here's a link to a  Western "Schaukasten" that was dug up by Eddie (milagro8)

The link should work for everybody - even if you're a guest on Klickywelt only.
