That looks great Cheng! :o :wow:
Now we need a speedo dad with read pants... ;D
How do you cut your helmets?
I will be making a few Greeks soon, and they will look much better with cut helmets. ;D

Does he sit? I mean, fold his legs?

you gotta be kidding me PP!
@WoT, saw, then trim with (PLEASE DONT ATTEMPT THIS, KIDS!!!!) scapel...if your cut is so clean, it'll not need sanding ;)

:wow:
I LOVE HIM....
I tried ordering 4 from DS, but doubt they'll have him.

Nice work, cheng. You're branching out more and more, from the East to the Ancient World - where next?

"to infinity and beyond....but not yet" :P

:hmm:
Why did you cut his legs off? IMHO, it'd be better to have the clicky untouched and add leg armor. Maybe spray paint the speedo in red… and replace the black cloak with a red one.
Best,
Arnaud

actually , I would not call these guys Spartans at all cheng... Sorry my friend, they are indeed smart made but the colours seem wrong... green and blue for spartan? :-\ Try it red, it works better. :) The helmets are a nice touch but maybe you should remove the dragon decoration... Sorry for this feedback, but I think it can be a bit more helful to make them better, the standards we got used from you ;D

oh ok...so they must be red only (is it just the movie or they were know historically to be red?
yes Wolf Knight...it seems i should stick to the far east :P its just for fun with my newly invented switchable naked torso...didnt do any research at all...I will leave the 300 spartans to your realm ;D

No no I am not saying you should only stick to the far east. I could never confine your fine work. I merely meant that your work is so excellent and these two guys are not that excellent work we got used from you, true they are a first attempt but they can be much better!!
---edit---
Sorry, forgot to say that yes Spartan hoplites were always wearing red cloths, acording to Lycurgus of Sparta, because it would cover the blood in case they got wounded... it also made them look more fierce
-
dear wolf-knight, honestly, I'm just playing around with this new torso....I did catch your compliments(thanks always!) when you were making constructive suggestions ;D I do appreciate them.
perhaps youre used to me trying to stay historically accurate that when cheng gets playful, he's taken seriously too :P
but what you said (always wearing red...according to Lycurgus ....because it would cover the blood) is very interesting...i wonder if the lacquer red samurais did it for the same reaon (besides looking fierce) ;)

No worries cheng!! You're right, playing around and experimenting brings very good results :yup: :yup: :yup:
wow that reminds me of a joke.... something about brown pants.... :toot:
:eh?: that does sound familiar...
-
Blood actually leaves a brown stain on red clothing...
If they did use their red cloaks for that reason, it didn't work. :hmm:
And if we are all being very historically accurate....
Ancient Greeks would have worn an intricately carved chest plate,
And not have been almost naked.
Though nudity was a big part of the ancient Greeks culture. ::)

:eh?: that does sound familiar...
I'll PM you. ;)

The interior gunwales of warships were painted red for the same reason.
