Okay kids, here is something to keep you busy and discussing things.
What do you think is possibly all here in these pictures?
This is a lot that I recently bought and it's not clear what all is in there - I don't have it yet.
There are lots of medieval buildings - all red roofed, so not the new ones from ds. There are some signs and other pieces.
Anyway, this could keep us busy for a while.
-
here are two more.
-
Okay, here's three more - and I fixed them so they'll show up now.

Some background. They come from an estate collection. The first pictures were all taken at the same time. These last three were taken at the same time.
The stuff is all supposed to be super clean and really unplayed with. (just displayed)
I can see two 3666's and one 3667. There are parts that can be seen from the olde "houses" and ox-cart knight. I know it's hard to see what all is there, and there are no boxes sadly but edumacated guestimates are welcome.

INCREDIBLE!
Although I don't think much of the seller's construction skills ;)

Well off the top of my head in addition to the castles you have at least significant parts from:
3440 Tailors House
3447 Rathaus
-the long wall with 2 arches in it - but since only one and no brown parts obvious that would indicate the train station it's probably 3449 Museum
the potters wheel from 3445 Potters House - but I don't see the yellow building parts so maybe from an add-on.
3654 Tournament Tent
3891 Oxcart Knight
3030 Adventure set Knights
3315 Black Knight
3837 Royal Tent
3896 Fairy Waterfall
3944 Druid
4505 Prince
3503 or 3735 - farm cart
pigeon loft - so either 3716 Farm or the 7027 or 7752 add on

Well, that is what it is supposed to be. All of the knights and Steck sets.
It is hard to tell from the pictures, though. They (those who inherited it from the estate) did not know how to put it together.
I can see parts from:
3652 Tournament Knights (you can see the pavillion in the far top right corner)
3654 Tournament Knights Tent
Two large barrels (so would that be DS or 3627)?!
3837 Royal Tent (that with druid (3944) and the waterfall (3896?) could the magic theme also be in there?
When you look at the pictures and see all of the red roof pieces that are not put toghether yet and still in the tubs who knows what all else is not put togethe?

Oh, it's that lot! :o I was noticing it was re-listed the other day, and when I saw this, I was wondering if it was that lot. That was an expensive listing, as I recall!

yes...
When I crunched numbers and came up with what these go for individually as well as olde and what they would have been new as well as what I have been paying for shipping for sets as well as what you get now for a set that's around $200 each (ie hospital) this was a bargain.
Apparently it cost the original collector $6000+

That's a great idea. I do have two garages that I can put them in - but it's going to be a lot. Good thing is it comes to the post office and not to the house.
Her eagle eyes seem to pick out the difference between boxes. I had two boxes in the van the other day and then went to the post office and got another one and then she spotted the new box as being different from the one before ...
-
That's a lot of good stuff there! My wife doesn't like the fact I have so much playmo. I used to have things sent to the house but now I have it delivered to my workplace. I have to sneak it in little by little. She can still tell though that the collection is growing. Of course I have never had to sneak that much playmo in. :)
-
I can see the
3505 cart (but is it the ox or the horse version, I cannot tell)
3665 baron's battle tower (the base is quite clear) or could it be the 4063?
3315 Black Knight (several)
3030 Adventure set knights

When one considers how expensive the Museum 3449, no box, sold for a couple months ago, this is a steal.

Well, I'm pretty darn tootin' excited to sort it all out!
-
Update:
It weighs 163 pounds of Steck goodness.
-
:omg: :omg: :omg: Are you going to pick it up, I guess? I can't begin to imagine how one would ship that much playmobil!
-

Give a ton of steck and i will carry it all on me back anytime anyplace to take it back to my den !!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

It is 2766 km to travel there by the most direct route which would take me through the USA.
I'll have it shipped and pay a fraction of the cost of what it would cost for fuel, wear on the vehicle, accommodations, etc.
-
 Yes, I'd say in that case it's better to have it shipped. ;) I thought maybe you lived close.

Sadly no. If I did I would have went to see it in person before buying it. It's hard to look at pictures and see what there is ...
I hope I'm happy with this. :-[

You will be
If there's one Rule of Steck that I've learned it's that no matter how much you have to do a project there is always an even cooler way to do it if only you had just a few more pieces...
-
My favorite and most original phrase fits perfectly here
There is never enough steck !!!!!
-
well, i learn that on a bad way. now i know theres never enough, but somehow you got to handle it.
btw wesley myers the lot is amazing, i even contact the seller regarding some pieces and house, asking to ship to USA, but never got an answer... go to know you got it... hope you show us what you did with the lot!!!

Well I was thinking about it. I think I will put them on shelves to display them in their proper sets. Then the kids can play with them and have a place to return them to.
I will take pictures. I was thinking about plexiglass in front to stop dust. Or maybe an air purifier.
-
Guess what came today! (Yes, Sunday - it came by bus so it came faster than post.)
I was going to post photos of it - but it's late (1:27am) - or is it early ...
Anyway, tomorrow.
You can tell it was collector kept - there's not even any dust on anything and no discolouration (which I'm beginning to think is due to exposure to UV rays).
I will probably start a whole new thread devoted to this. Or just keep it with my postman one.
