I'm starting a thread just for pictures of my Playmobil collection. I've been trying to get it all photographed, but it's taking such a long time. I've decided to go ahead and post the pictures I have so far. I'll add more as time allows, and as I acquire new sets. Some themes I actually attempted to set-up. Other times I was too lazy to bother, and just took pictures of the boxes. Some of the boxes are still unopened, not because I want them to remain so, but because I haven't gotten around to opening them yet! (This is rare, as most smaller sets don't survive the car ride home!)
The family car 3139. I bought this set used on ebay.
I actually bought two of the 5918 cabin, plus extra bunkbeds, canoes and some other stuff. Thought it might come in handy.
The micro sets:

More to follow.

Another look at the micro sets.

The 7146 western house.

The covered wagon 7648 and well 7057 add-ons.

I am literally DROOLING over those microsets! (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Drooling/drooling-5.gif) You have them all!!! I want them sooo bad! :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

I love that vintage Family Car! You're lucky to have gotten one that is in such nice condition and complete. Most used ones are missing the luggage rack.

A few more bits from the western theme.
Add-on cowboys 7273.

The following two images are pictures of the box art on sets 3304 and 3381.

I almost forgot the Indians and teepee! More add-ons.
This is an older garbage truck. I'm also including pictures of the awesome box art.

Since the interior shots of the suburban house were not very close up, I'm posting pics of the boxes so you can actually see which suburban sets I have.

I'd say this is more than a start, this is a pretty good collection!

Here are my Victorian sets. I wish I would have taken these pictures during the day, but I'm a creature of the night, so the lighting is off. Sorry.

As I'm sure anyone here will say: I am so envious of your collection.
You actually have something going on with your playmo. You've created a whole world. Whereas I have lots of odds and ends, and I love them conditionally, but they only fit together by some odd convoluted fantasy story I create in my head when I look at them.
I need more buildings maybe.
-
I bought the entire school theme, but I regret it. I'm not a big fan. It's too big. I should have bought the smaller TRU exclusive instead. But, I just had to have the one with bathrooms. I probably won't keep this set forever. Did this knowledge stop me from buying the Chinese school bus? NO! Of course not.

Here are some hospital/medical sets. I now have the 4404 hospital and most of the other sets, but unfortunately, they missed the photoshoot. I'll try to add them later, once I catch up.
The Playmobil box is the 7942 hospital floor extension.
The pediatrician office. I now have the dental office as well, and will post that later too.

That's all for tonight folks. I'll upload more of my collection once I get around to taking the pictures. I never knew it would be such a chore! And, don't worry, this was the bulk of it. All that remain are mostly smaller sets, and my (few) specials.
Thanks for looking!
-
A most excellent and diverse collection!!! Love your victorian house!!! Congratulations and thank you for sharing all thes pics with us!!!
-
I am literally DROOLING over those microsets! (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Drooling/drooling-5.gif) You have them all!!! I want them sooo bad! :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:
Thanks bonniebeth. Do you have any of the micros yet? I ordered the airport from Germany, and it was so cheap! I think shipping was around $6, but all together it was under $20. I guess they just aren't so rare there. Oh, and then, about a week later, Amir offers a micro airport! And nobody took it right away! I almost added it to my order anyway, but restrained myself. (I try to avoid too many duplicate sets!) I bought 3 or 4 of them from Playvalue Toys in Canada. I guess the rest were from ebay (US sellers).
If you can hold out long enough, they may all be offered as free gifts with purchase. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that! After going to such trouble to get them all! Bygones.
-
I love that vintage Family Car! You're lucky to have gotten one that is in such nice condition and complete. Most used ones are missing the luggage rack.
Thanks Robbie. I didn't know anything about the car. I just saw it on ebay, buy it now, for $25. I checked to make sure it was complete and bought it. I still don't know if I got a good price, but it was too charming to pass up. No regrets.

nice collection Toyologist !!!!
from which set is this diorama?
Thanks so much!
Playmo1989, my partner in crime! 8-) Didn't we recently get into trouble for unintentionally discussing a forbidden topic? :-[
That diorama is from either 3381 or 3304. I can't remember which! Sorry! If you really, really, really want to know I'll find out. Just not tonight, because the boxes are in the garage packed inside other boxes which are packed inside other boxes.
-
Excellent start to your on going collection! Some very sought after retired sets also included. :)9 Thank you for sharing these pictures with us. :thanks:
Thanks Bill!
I'm hoping you haven't noticed that I don't have a single fire truck, or even a fireman in my collection! :toot:
I just haven't gotten around to that theme yet. Maybe I'll wait until they re-release a certain (3526) fire engine. ;D

Thanks so very much.
I'd love to see pics of the random stuff you do have. An "odd convoluted fantasy story" sounds very intriguing. If you've seen the original boxes for my sets, you've basically seen my sets. What I mean is, I don't really do anything creative or whimsical with them. In fact, I usually set up based on the box! I figure they knew what they were doing. Talk about uncreative!

Thank you Wolf Knight. And thanks for looking, I'm sure you've seen it all hundreds of times before! I'm sure most everyone here has. So thanks be to all. :)

Oh, you have done a great job acquiring your collection! BTW, your Haz Mat team is considered fire department add on's, so yes you do have protection! ;) And waiting for the 3526 fire engine is an excellent choice if it is ever reproduced IMHO! :)9
-
(http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j402/adaytripper1/boxart2-1.jpg)
playmo1989: you're correct. This diorama is from the sheriff 3381.

I'd forgotten that the hazmat team actually belongs to the FD theme. (I've been storing them with the airport stuff.) Thanks for setting my mind at ease. Still, even though we're covered in the event of a hazardous spill, we still need to improve our situation. We'll see if I can hold out for the 3526.

Thanks for the kind words Luis & lavendiere! And thanks for looking.

No problem, just remember if you have a small bleach spill in the laundry room, you're well taken care of! ;) I will tell you that if you scour eBay.de, the 3526 appears occasionally, but rarely even near complete, & they go for a premium price. :(
-
That's a great collection Toyologist, and from lots of themes too.
... I'm sure you've seen it all hundreds of times before! I'm sure most everyone here has.... :)
It's always great to see someones collection or new things they've added to their collection, no matter how many times we may have seen photos before.
Thank you for sharing it with us. :thanks:

Most definitely, Elaine, it makes us feel like we're not alone in our madness anymore! ;)

I have most of them up here somewhere. I'm not sure how to find them. I'm still stupid when it comes to searching around on forums. ha ha ha!

tonguello & Elaine: thank you both so much!
It is nice to know we're not alone! :)

Lovely collection, thanks for sharing !!!!!

Thanks Skywalker!
Most of the boxes have been opened. I'm surprised that they appear to look brand new! Many of them have taken quite a beating.

You weren't kidding! I enjoyed it thouroughly! You have a very fun collection!
Thanks for providing the link, I know it wasn't easy for you!   I posted there as well.
-
WOW great collection toyologist and so well organized...ours is a big mess...but we spend another 6 hours or so sorting and cleaning this weekend so we're getting there.
Loved to see that you have a really varied assortment, they really produce so many gems, your shopping center was really nicely made. You must also love music a lot as the cello/violin showed up both in the victorian Mansion and the School. or maybe it's in more pictures...sort of a search :-)
-
Thanks Gis!
Isn't it incredible the amount of time it takes to organize this stuff? And once organized, just keeping it organized, is also very time consuming. Then there are the lingering questions: Should I keep Easter/Christmas/Halloween Playmobil with holiday decorations, or with the Playmobil collection? ??? Should I keep specials with a related theme or with the other specials? ???
Good eye! I do love the Victorian era stringed instruments! I'd like to have a few more eventually. A search would have been fun, but I think they're only featured in the two sets you've mentioned. Maybe next time. :)
-
Look forward to see more of your stuff !!!
