Title: The chronicles of Mittland Part 03 Time of the wolves

Chapter I.

On the escape before the myrmidons of the highestlord ARTRAC Arn, the wolf man, as well as HADOR, JURAS and LILIAN had hidden themselves in Talsend in a cellar impact. In a risky rescue mission the three companions had released Arn from the dungeon cell of the garrison. Originally LILIAN and the two men were came to the dungeon in order to release the young RAS to release, which ARTRACS guys had pressed to the war service. But when they penetrated into the dungeon, they found only the old ARN, which was captured one week ago by the hands of the dragon soldiers.

RAS was in reality TURAS, the youngest son king JURONS of Mittland. Now the wolf man submitted the plan of the rebels to his fate comrades to terminate ARTRAC's fright rule. „Several weeks ago it succeeded to me to contact again with TA' AHIR, the queen of the forest people" he began. „Also the queen has heard of the rumors over ARTRAC's secret weapon. One whispers that ARTRAC holds the breath of the dragons in his hands.“

It is, as if fire would fall of the sky. With these new weapons he wants to fight the mountain fortresses. ARTRAC trained many of his most faithful soldiers at these cannons. Some of our people have observed it. The effect of this weapon is devastating.“

Friends from the resistance could achieve a similar success with the tribes of the Wild country. Also the tribes are ready to support our fight.“

Even if his eyes are blind, then they say that he can see into the hearts of humans and no bad cunning can deceive him. The nomades trusts his judgement, and as soon as they elected their warrior prince, they will fight at our site in the battle.“

From JON we experienced that the resistance against ARTRAC consists only of few old men“, LILIAN answered ARN's remarks.

Also the many soldiers pressed into the service will only halfheartedly support ARTRAC in this fight. “„Nevertheless which are this several hundreds against an armed force, which counts to the thousands, rather still to the ten thousands? “ This objection came from JURAS, once knight at king JURON's yard.

A man looked down to them, and he spoke, „the soldiers scanned the house. They found nothing, and so they went away. To our luck they were not particularly thorough. You can come upward.“

In addition we need four horses, with wich we can travel in a hurry“, ARN said. „Three horses wait in the small forest before the town for us“, HADOR answered him. „I can procure you a fourth“, their host added. „I will bring you tonight by the gate. The night watchman is on our side. He lost his son and his right hand in the dragon wars. For a long time he supports us in the secret one. “

And he will then bring TURAS likewise there.“ LILIAN's argumentation was clear to her companions. „Well, young woman, we ride together“, ARN agreed to her.

The pilgrim clothes had become worthless as mask, since the outwitted soldiers had seen her. Thus they changed the clothes. Also weapons their ally had procured to them. Then our friends separated and rode their respective targets against.

Chapter II.

JURAS reached as fastest his target in the Wild country. One led him to a tent, where OREJAN already expected him. The blind one welcomed friendly the former knight. JURAS contacted the leader of the tribes, „oldest one, the time is come to fighting. In few days ARTRAC will attack the mountain fortresses.“ OREJAN nodded, „our warriors are ready. But the right guidance is missing to them, in order to fight against ARTRAC's soldiers.“

Despite his blindness OREJAN noticed, what JURAS wanted to know. „The decisive encounters began only a short time ago. The warrior prince is not found yet“, answered the blind one, so as if he would have already suspected the question. „The time is our enemy, too. Let me speak to the Warriors“, JURAS answered to him thereupon. A fine smile covered for OREJAN's face, and quietly he murmured, „to speak will not be sufficient… “ for JURAS turning he added loudly, „follow me to the rendevous point! “JURAS and OREJAN left the tent.

Already from a distance OREJAN and JURAS heard the noise. When they came closer to the spectators, the men made place ready for their blind leader and his companions. Thus they were located in foremost front, and JURAS could observe the fight.

The combat sticks struck loudly one on the other. Observing the fight, JURAS asked the blind man, „when will the fight be decided? “„When one of the fighters lies in his blood.“ Disbelieving JURAS stared to his opposite, „that means, one man will be killed?“ OREJAN nodded.

Post by: Vauban on May 27, 2011, 18:29:35: JURAS wanted to answer, but in this moment one of the warriors stumbled. His opponent was after him and lift up his arm to the death blow. Without any consideration JURAS snatched from his neighbour the spear and hurled it between the two fighting men, so that the spear remained in the soil. Suddenly it was quietly at the place as at a cemetery by night. No visitor had dared ever before to intervene in a duel.

Against ARTRAC and his soldiers we must raise our weapons, not against each other!“ In the silence of the warriors the loud words of the former knight achieved also the rear row.

Without waiting to an answer he continued to ask, „does a cripple want to instruct a warrior?“ Heavy breathing from the fight the man discharged these words, and his eyes sparkled before anger. „I am JURAS, once I was a knight at the yard of king JURON of Mittland, and I would like to terminate this senseless blood pouring.“

Pearls stood on the ebony-black forehead. „The tribes of the Wild country need their warrior prince, and only the best and strongest fighter will lead them.“ JURAS turned to the nomad, „and in addition for it you kill mutually and weaken your combat capability! So it will be easy for ARTRAC to beat you.“

But who should lead the tribes into the war, if the warriors were not fighting against each other in the duel?

He was courageous and strong, but against a tactician such as ARTRAC he did not possess the smallest chance. Thus JURAS took the weapon of the fighter who was on the soil. „Then fight with me!“ „Why I should? “„Because I oppose you" JURAS answered him. NUMUR discharged a loud laughter. „Or do you have fear to fight with me? “ NUMUR's laughter grew silent immediately. With a loud cry he attacked the still standing JURAS.

As he had suspected and seen in the fight before, the nomad attacked him without consideration for his own covering. NUMUR trusted alone on his strength and speed. JURAS pulled NUMUR to it forward on his own weapon with a rapid turn of his arms, ducked themselves under the powerful arms of his opponent and rammed him the combat stick into the stomach.

Post by: Vauban on May 27, 2011, 18:38:41: NUMUR snatched after air and curved himself before pain. He vibrated disbelievingly the head. In what strange kind did the foreigner use the combat stick? Tumbling the warrior tried to come on his legs. But JURAS was already over him and pressed the nomad with the unusual weapon to the ground.

Post by: Vauban on May 27, 2011, 18:39:24: NUMUR tried to stand up again, but JURAS held him apparently easily to the ground. „Do you recognize my victory?“ The nomad tried to rise, but the stick before his chest made it impossibly for him to stand up from the soil. NUMUR pressed angrily between his lips a "Yes" out. Juras discharged immediately of him and handed the young warrior the hand. „I do not preserve any anger against you. You fought courageously and well. Let fight us together against ARTRAC!“

Post by: Vauban on May 27, 2011, 18:40:15: Hesitating NUMUR seized JURAS' hand. But the nomad had not given lost the fight yet. He tried to pull with a rapid movement JURAS to ground. But the former knight had expected something in this kind and he could not be brought from the equilibrium. Instead he pulled NUMUR on the legs and grined thereby. In thoughts JURAS thanked the Indescribable that NUMUR had been exhausted by the past fights, and that he could surprise the hothead so simply.

Again movement came only now into the spectators, and one of the standing around men called, „nevertheless who is now to lead us into the battle?“ Now also NUMUR smiled and answered, „JURAS will lead us. He is the new warrior prince of the nomade tribes!“ Thereupon the men struck their spears against the shields and they showed so their agreement.

Chapter III.

HADOR had achieved in the meantime also his goal. He achieved it full of hope. He thanked his old friend secretly that he had sent him after Arboria. HADOR had had nevertheless to leave his big love B'EL before nearly 17 years in Arboria. Thus he approached the thorn barrier, which protected Arboria's borderlines. When he came closer to the barrier, the thorns yielded as by magic before him back and granted him inlet into the forests of Arboria.

When HADOR wanted to place his weapons, he was called by a quiet voice, „HADOR!“ He turned, and there she stood now in person before him. His beloved B'EL. She looked still just as dear-attractive, as he remembered her. It seemed, as if she had not aged only one day.

It hardly passed one day, on which I had not thought of you.“ He admired her from top to bottom, „you are still just as beautiful as at that last time I saw you.“ „Also I have desired you, but I could not leave the forests. TA'AHIR provides well for her children, but their protection ends at the border of the forest.“

Many of my brothers and sisters are ready to support you in the fight. “B'EL stepped a step to the side, and HADOR could see, how a large number of forest people stepped from the wood.

But to HADOR's big surprise were also some among them, wich led arrows and elbows with themself. Others again carried swords. It was a strange sight to see the friendly forest people with deadly weapons. One of these forest people stepped before and welcomed HADOR. Afterwards he introduced himself, „I'm BE'TAC, the first army leader Arborias. Hereby we're waiting for your instruction. “

Chapter IV.

Also ARN and LILIAN had started their journey. Two wolves accompanied them to the north. On the way ARN avowed his companion, „I will send one of the wolves to TIRAN ahead. He will come to meet us at the Thunder river.“ They allowed neither themselves nor the animals a break. They rode all day long and traversed in such a way mile after mile.

After they had eaten, LILIAN turned at ARN, „do you believe that we have a chance against ARTRAC? “„We may not give up the hope. The age-old ones see only ghosts of the future. Fire fallen of the sky. Everything is possible.“ The old man purged again into silence. LILIAN thought of TURAS. Then they leid down to the sleep exhausted from the long ride, and only the wolf was their guardian in the night.

Attentively he looked around. „We are no longer far from the place, in which we are to meet TIRAN. We will go the last piece on foot.“ They descended the horses and followed the Thunder river downstream. A narrow lane led along the river bank.

There already three men stepped from the bushes. They were armed, but they did not wear ARTRAC's coat of arms. When ARN recognized the largest man, he laughed. „TIRAN “, he called joyfully and hurried to the men.

The warrior welcomed LILIAN with a scarce bow in her direction. The young woman examined the large man. He seemed to be quite juvenile, but LILIAN felt immediately that TIRAN was used to give instructions not to receive. Also she noticed the admiration for her leader in the other men's views.

After short greetings ARN opened to the warriors that the battle was imminent around the liberty. The men nodded seriously. For this moment they had prepared themselves for many years. TIRAN, which they had selected to their leader, spoke then to ARN, „our men are ready to fight. We will go immediately to the large gate fortress.“

Post by: Vauban on June 14, 2011, 19:14:55: TIRAN led ARN and LILIAN to the river. A small fishing boat laid at the river bank. „Take the boat. It will carry you fast over the Thunder river. Go ashore, where the Thunder river and the Silence brook unite. Direct you then eastward, toward the sources of fire. After approximately one hour foot march you will find an old abandoned farm. There rested horses will wait for you. I wish you luck on your ways.“ With these words he discharged ARN and LILIAN.

Chapter V.

„You must undergo of a last examination, before you can lead the nomads.“ In such a way OREJAN had spoken to JURAS, after the nomads had intended him for their warrior prince. OREJAN requested JURAS to accompany him. Thereupon JURAS followed the blind one, which led him to the green of the adjacent jungle. So much JURAS himself endeavored also to experience something over the forthcoming examination, but the oldest one was silent to all questions.

The animal hissed, „go down thththere into thththe grave. Your passsst and your future are waiting for you." JURAS looked suspiciously into the pit. It was full of snakes. Their flaky bodies slid one above the other away. All were in motion. JURAS was reminded of the surf of a sea with storm, only this here was a sea from snakes.

They made an immersing for the man possible in their sea. JURAS noticed, how the snakes crept into his dresses. He meant even to feel their movements under his skin. Thus as instead of its blood now the snakes would flow by his veins. With a quiet crunching a big stone plate pushed itself over the pit and included the courageous man.

JURAS did not move himself at first. He was rigidly of his strange sleep. He looked around in the temple. The snakes in the pit had disappeared. A golden shield and a spear were laying to his feet. He took shield and spear and climbed from the pit.

But the most marvelous, which happened, was that JURAS' right leg regenerated. After all the years the former knight stood now on two healthy legs again. JURAS could hardly believe this miracle. Also the armament had transformed. Hard metal had stepped to the place of the soft snake leather.

The man stepped forward into the sunlight and stretched the arms with the weapons upward.

The boat brought ARN and LILIAN fast and surely to the mouth of the river. Although it was not his kind, ARN had talked continuously during the boat travel to LILIAN. He wanted to prevent that LILIAN travelled alone to the north realm. Finally the young woman had agreed to accompany ARN to the dwarves. In response ARN would travel with LILIAN to the north realm and would support her with her search for the missing TURAS.

Along high firs the wolf man led LILIAN to a latticed cave entrance.

The white-bearded dwarf discharged a short whistle, and the wild ride by the mountain began.

The wheels rumbled over loose rock, and the passengers made one or another inadvertent air jump. ARN and the young woman had to hold on their places, in order to be not hurled from the small carts. On the difficulties of their passengers the coachmen did not take any consideration, instead they propelled the animals to a still higher speed.

Messengers had already announced their coming, and so JURAS was expecting impatiently his old friend. The both men's joy about the reunion was great. But HADOR's astonishment was still larger over the miracle healing of his comrade.

They abandoned only reluctantly of the defeated ones.

Already the next day the forest people returned. They reported that TIRAN had divided all of his men into four contingents to advance faster. In quick marches the soldiers had already put back the largest part of the way, and TIRAN would arrive against evening with the first contingent. Nomads such as forest people used the short stop, in order to recover still their powers.

Both originated from the same village. The armed force of the rebels had arrived completly thereby at the gate fortress.

While the rebels pulled on horses into the fight, the nomads preferred the long-legs and long-trunks of their homeland. The long-trunks had already worked in the fight for the gate fortress. They were fear-flow-end animals with enormous tusks, which upset the opposing soldiers by the dozen. Hardly one of the dragon soldiers knew such animals. JURAS counted on the fact that alone the sight of these giants would discourage their enemies.

ARTRAC's soldiers had arrived in the meantime at the edge of the Cold Mountains. An old ruin, a witness of the first unsuccessful campaign against the Mountain Realm, was already referred of the dragon soldiers as an outpost. A swarm of raves observed distrustfully the introduction of humans in their district. From here the dragon soldiers looked on the powerful fortresses of their opponent: the gate fortress Nihinara, as well as the mountain fortresses De'monn Te and Sin'monn Te, the right and the left fist of the Indescribable One.

But queen SELLINAS counted on ARTRAC's new attacks, on stronger weapons and on a larger number of soldiers. Thus also SELLINAS built a powerful gate fortress and called these in memories of her dead husband Nihinara, NIHIR's revenge. It should prevent that ARTRAC could still use the Small Trading Route for his plans.

It was inconceivable for the humans of the Mountain Realm that this bulwark could ever be defeated, and one believed oneself safety in the isolation. The Mountain Realm had been even the smallest of the six kingdoms, but the mountains were rich at ore, and the fields and pastures brought enough yield, so that nobody had to hunger. The humans learned quickly to live without the few things, which they could not manufacture themself.

NIHIRA was the only child SELLINAS' and NIHIR's. As a young girl she experienced from the murder of her father by ARTRAC. On this day she swore revenge to ARTRAC. She practiced untiringly in all combat disciplines and became a strong warrior. Many women and girls followed her model and served in the meantime as soldiers the Mountain Realm.

They knew, if ARTAC's army crowds turned into attack, their arrows had to defeat them. NIHIRA's warriors had to hold the dragon soldiers in distance, as long as it was possible for them. The fear of ARTRAC's unknown secret weapon sat all in the neck. The doubly occupied guardians were looking out nervously, each small change of the environment were observed by their eyes.

One of the horses shrank from and threw off its horseman. When the second one wanted to come to assistance his comrade, the bears lacerated him also. Thus the for SELLINAS so importent knowledge died with them.

The dragon soldiers kindled fires in front of the fortress. Containers filled with pitch were unloaded from the carts.

While the mountain people did not come to the peace, the majority of the dragon soldiers slept in their tents, only the crews at the catapults were shooting projectile after projectile.

The balls tore large holes into the walls of the fortress. Panic grew up among the defenders. What should they do against this weapon? Nowhere in the fortress the defenders were still safe. Large pieces of rubble from the walls killed the humans. Whirled up dust made it nearly impossible to see still the hand before the eyes.

Chapter X.

EKWUS chased to the forest people with his riders. The branches of the trees whipped them in the face, but they covered untiringly the miles. After somewhat more than one hour they reached BE'TAK and his companions, which expected them already impatiently. BE'TAK had struggled with himself several times to attack the cannons without the other rebels.

Helplessly the defenders on the barriers had to regard also, how their fortress walls were being destroyed piece around piece. They had to deplore already many victims under the rubble. In the meantime the bombardment of the catapults had begun also again. At many places small fires burned already, which got the remaining men and women hardly still into the grasp.

A black sea of soldiers flowed to the damaged walls of the fortress. They wanted to destroy the rest of the fortress. The bombardment of the cannons had reduced strongly NIHRA's bowmen. But the survivors were so more decided. They held ready their arrows for the moving forward enemies.

When their observers announced the fact, that the attacking dragon soldiers were under the fire by their own cannons, the women and men on the walls of the fortress were shouting with joy and they got new courage.

In the meantime ARN's and LILIAN's strange journey through the mountain did not take an end. It seemed to LILIAN, as if they would hurry already for hours aimlessly by the dark or only weakly illuminated lugs. As soon as she could see in the weak light of the rare torches somewhat, she ducked herself. She was afraid that the lugs were not high enough for human passengers.

He prevailed for more than one hundred years already over his people. Up to the outbreak of the Great War the contact between dwarves and humans had quite run meagerly, but in mutual attention and peacefully. Afterwards only few dwarves had left the Drachental, and no human had seen a dwarf since the dragon wars outside of the mines.

Together with the kings and the knights of the six human realms it succeeded to them to smash the Dark Federation. Afterwards the sorcerer had left the human realms, and Deman YA had returned to the Drachental.

A messenger brought the message to JURAS that the rebels had taken or had destroyed all catapults and cannons. Together with the riders from the Mountain Realm the warriors pushed back ARTRAC's troops. They were supported by the long trunks, which swept like an gale the dragon soldiers of their legs. The victory of the rebels came more near and more near.

ARN carried already so many years this medallion in form of a wolf head that he had not considered it any longer. The wolf fur, which the medallion held at ARN's shoulders together, fell to the soil.

Chapter XV.

The spear met ARTRAC in the middle in the heart. It penetrated the shining armament of the highestlord as if it would be from finest silk and not made of hard metal. ARTRAC tilted forward, and an arm got caught in the bridle. Thus the body did not fall from the saddle. TRACANSIS saw the death of its father and cried. Then he steered his dragon downward to the army of the rebels.

No dead lord and no fleeing highlord were it worth to endanger their own life still further. JURAS gave the instruction to let them flee.

Highlord DRAC expected a similar fate. A supremacy of his former followers opposed him and a few of his last loyal men. But before DRAC could be taken imprisoned, he directed his sword against himself and followed ARTRAC into death.

Gradually TRACANSIS' mourning over the death of his father was replaced by the anger over the defeat. TRACANSIS continued to steer his dragon higher and higher into the sky. Gradually the cool wind clarified his thoughts. He recognized that this battle had been won by the opponent. But he did not want to give the war yet lost. First he had to secure the rule in the Nordreich. In his own kingdom of Mittland he did not believe himself reliably, if only the customer of the defeat spread there. And the population would experience it fast, he doubted no instant long.

When the second dragon had landed, TRACANSIS pulled his dead father of the back of the animal. While the dragon attendants led their favorites to the cages, TRACANSIS carried the dead body of his father to his mother and removed the spear from the body.

For your failure I would kill you personally, if you already would not lie dead before me.“ She turned to the bodyguards and instructed them, „remove it from my eyes!“ „Everything ran as planned“, TRACANSIS began his report, „the rebels attacked the first lines, and as all of them were on the battleground, our dragons destroyed our enemies to dozens… “

I liked this figure really, but I had not anyone. The I had luck and I got two at the same time, so one had to be customized at once and added to the story. ;)

Chapter XVII.

In the meantime the dwarves had broken through the hard granite and vacated the pieces of stone to the side. The wolf warriors approached as first the break-through. On the other side a spacious cave extended the pit. The group passed securing carefully in all directions the cave. They reached stairs made of stones. Hasty they rose upward the stages. The wolves reached the door at the upper end first closely followed from the warriors. ARN, LILIAN and Deman YA followed them rapidly. The dwarves were the last ones.

Soldiers of ARTRAC's bodyguard emerged as from nothing and attacked them immediately. Threateningly they swung their large axes, the favourite weapon of the black troops. Also the rebels took their weapons and resisted.

Lady CHRONA shouted loudly, when she saw, that her attack remained ineffectively. Again she swore to deadly magic, which countered Deman YA with his power. The fury of the witch increased in rage, ever faster followed each other her attacks. Only with trouble the highest pit master of the dwarves could resist it.

Two new ways lay before them. A large gate and a door hid unknown areas from ARN and his companions. The wolf man told the second wolf warrior to take with the dwarves the door. He took himself with the last wolf the large gate with LILIAN and the third warrior.

Chapter XVIII.

ARN and his companions could naturally not know that by this gate the dragon attendants had led their favorites only few instants before. The four stepped by the gate and arrived into a large corridor, more a tunnel made into the rock. At the end of this tunnel they discovered two small caves, which were used as stable for the dragons. Heavy iron gates prevented an escaping of the primeval creatures from their enclosures. „The corridor is here to end “, LILIAN determined, „whether there are still further stables with dragons?“ „No, these two are singular. Enjoy their sight! It will be the last, what you will see on this earth.” Unnoticed by the four the dragon attendants had come closer to them.

Guarding the dragons demanded a high tribute of the attendants. They held heavy double axes in their hands, ready to use its. The wolf attacked the first one. The wolf warrior approached with his sword over his head the second attendant. The third one however came limbing to LILIAN and ARN. Despite his missing leg he was not looking less horrible than the other guys.

The dragon attendant approached the wolf warrior with this heavy weapon in the left hand. The right hand was only an iron hook. Lurking he observed each movement of the warrior. As the warrior attacked the man with the sword, the guardian's hook twitched before and teared the weapon from the warrior.

Watchfully the warrior observed the axe and the hook of his opponent, then also he turned into the attack. Cracking the axes were hitting one on the other. Sparks were flying into the air.

ARN whirled around the own axle and struck with the bar after the feet of the dragon attendant. It succeeded him to bring the dragon guardian to case. ARN placed behind with the bar and struck the falling meditationless. Also the third attendant was subject to his opponent, but dying he fell on a lever. Crunching the heavy iron gate of the stables lifted themselves, and the dragons stepped forward.

The dragon tried to escape from the grasp of its own species. With teeth and claws they fell one above the other ago. Their blows and bite came so fast that the human eye could hardly pursue them. Their powerful shed-covered tails struck large pieces of rock from the walls and the cover. The humans stared fascinated at this fight of the elemental powers.

Hurry up, we must regain the others!“ Then the dragons disappeared. Only the traces of their fight still witnessed from their presence.

Chapter XIX.

Some minutes ago, the dwarves had opened the door and had entered together with their human companion the area behind it. It was a long corridor, innumerable doors seamed its walls. Helpless they looked to each other. Suddenly one of the doors was opened, and TRACANIS came out. He held his sword in the right, a dagger in the left hand. His eyes looked confused. His hair stuck weldingwet at his temple. He cried as from senses and attacked at once ARN and his friends.

His unsteady view looked for a new victim and selected the wolf warrior. Lurking the dark prince came to the warrior, then he attacked the man with a fast sword blow. The wolf warrior warded off the attack and started immediately his own assault.

After they recognized however the fact that they could not help the dead one any longer, the dwarfes stormed along the corridor and opened all the doors. But the chambers behind them were empty. Finally they opened a door, which led into a laboratory. High shelves with books, unknown equipments and bubbling liquids made a ghostly atmosphere in the chamber. The dwarves entered the room curiously.

One of them was still a young man, around the twenty. The other one had a long beard and felted hair, these one was perhaps forty years old. The bodies were lying lifeless on the plank beds.

YESIS put his ear on the chest of the younger one, „he breathes, therefore he also still lives.“ „These must be the hosts“, ZIHIT determined. „We have to wake them up. But how?“ Thereupon YESIS took a small hook of the table and smashed the dragon figures.

Come on, we have to assist the others. ARTRAC's wife Chrona is a witch. Their forces are nearly as strong as Deman YA's.“

While the dwarves worried still rapidly about the warrior's wounds, TURID took TRACANSIS' sword. „Now the witch is only remaining.“ TURAS took TRACANSIS' dagger from the soil, and together with YESIS the brothers hurried to the connecting door.

Chapter XX.

After they passed through the door, they were already expected by ARN, LILIAN and the surviving wolf warrior. When TURAS saw his beloved LILIAN, he ran to her. TURAS pressed the young woman firmly actually, thus as if he wanted to never release her again. His brother recognized immediately the wolf man, because in his memory their last meeting was only a few hours ago, but not eighteen years. ARN welcomed his royal friend disbelievingly. In this joy over their reunion the small YESIS kept still his cool consideration again. „You may be pleased still later, but Deman YA needs our assistance now.“

The life yielded from her, and her skin shrank, became translucent and fragile. In a few seconds she seemed to age around centuries and disintegrated to dust.

And in such a way it happened then that the victorious rebels on the lily castle met. Rapidly numerous aiding hands were found to remove ARTRAC's coat of arms and his signs. The people hurried to prepare the castle again for the legal heirs.

Since TURAS release she did not yield any longer from his side.

The meeting hoped to reach in this way that nobody could arrive to more into the proximity of any remnants of the elemental beasts. It was also uncertain, who lady CHRONA had been real. They had examined the books in her laboratory, but nobody could decipher the secret indications. Thus they burned the writings and everything that they had found otherwise still in the laboratory.

SELLINAS would remain queen of the Bergreich. The Seenland was awarded to her daughter NIHRA as kingdom. With the best desires of her mother she left the Bergreich in the company of 100 women and men, who should go to her in the reconstruction to the hand.

NUMUR would support him. After he had proven the fact that he understood to fight, OREJAN wanted to teach him now the art of the peace and to direct his heated mind in the correct direction. JURAS, who likewise was from royal descent, transferred however the rule in the Südreich. Like that it was close to his new friends with the nomads.

I would have preferred the dragons to win in this story just because i usually prefer the ' baddies' to win in such stories/ movies ,as its the unexpected. However, Vauban's story had plenty of twists and changes where the baddies were winning etc , so that preference of mine was covered i suppose and justice was served at the end which is always nice.
