Post by: Hadoque on April 26, 2011, 12:34:43
Some more custom-pics, this time pirates & sailors.

Only a few to start with, more to follow later on  ;)

Thanks  :)

Btw, of the ones above the pirate with grey vest, the 2nd Arab and the old sailor are my personal favourites too

Here come some more...

First one is the exclusive German captain, that came with meals in the local "Nordsee"-restaurants there.
This one ain't much a custom, though I exchanged his black legs with red boots for the same black legs with brown boots, and gave him a blue sword-belt, beard and hairpiece.

Clever! Do you have a part number for that nordsee captain?

A very nice selection of customs, Hadoque.

The pirates look a really desperate bunch and not someone you'd like to meet on the high seas.

The retired sailor is a nice touch, but where does his pipe come from, please?

Hi Gordon, the pipe comes from this late 80's pirates set 3794:

No, sorry... :(  The Nordsee-klickies all came in a plastic bag, without instructions and I don't know if someone has his/their partnumber(s)...
I'd like to know it too, as I need 4 more additional Nordsee-captains to complete my "platoon" of 18th century French pre-Revolution soldiers.

Just came back to have a look at these customs, Erwin. I just noticed! I am unfamiliar with the head piece of the sailor's daughter...  ??? Do you know where it is from?

It comes from a lady in the klicky-set 3543 Artistocrats  ;)

The female klicky on the left of the picture, sitting on the trunks, is wearing this specific hat.
As far as I know, the hat only came in this set...

nice customs Hadoque!
(but somehow I keep seeing samurai(s) when I look at your pirates :P ....you see, I'm waiting for a few more of those red pirate shorts to arrive ;))

I enjoy looking at uniforms...would you have a drawing of these French soldiers? :)

Thanks Cheng and Elaine!

Cheng,
There is thread (also in the customs area I think) about French pre-revolution soldiers, where I and Sir Pleaymo (I think) posted some customs of such soldiers. There are also several drawings about how such soldiers looked like (provided by Blackpearl if I remember well)

The answer is 2 posts above your question  ;)
