here is another one. unfortuanally i need to find a head without beard.. as they have to shave daily! :-[
-
got a car but the sets are not gud.. so i can use it as reference to customize playmo cars
i would say the PLAYMOBIL 4260 would be perfect!
-
Superb job with your Policemen Mike! :wow: :wow: :wow:

You can remove the head & carefully polish the beard stubble off of the face. DO NOT get the polish on the Klicky's eyes or mouth!

i working on that later. just bought a 4260 car and try to customize it to a uk police car. i had an intressting talk with a police men the other day and he explained very nicely what helm each offcier wears. i didnt know that woman ONLY wear bowler hats and the large hat (from malone) is only when they walking in town etc. they wearing a normal police hat when they driving.. checkers are for normal police officers and when they progress they get colors like blue etc. it was a very intressting fact to know! now i need to get my hand on more police vests and bowler hats :) but i will post updates as soon i do progress.. i like the feedback what iam getting and i think that helps to get better. iam quite new in customizing.. never had really time for that :lol
-
i had a bit time today to prepare the first custom vehicle. the police video unit. its usually a yellow van. so the playmobil DHL van is absolute perfect for it.
already ordert stickers of the checkers!
-
great idea !! i like your female hats !! the body of the male are splendid !!
-
nice customs mike,
as an ex British copper, i love your customs, especially the car with the battenburg markings. Most British constables carry virtually the same equipment on their duty belt, regardless of which force they work for. When i worked in Glasgow, i carried Hiatts speedcuffs, PR24 sidearm baton, CS spray, mini maglite and had a belt hoop for a 3 cell maglite, which i usually kept in the panda car(patrol car). Some forces use the ASP collapsible baton instead of the PR24.
:-[ Sorry got carried away thinking about the old days. Anyway keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing more.

the white car is not a custom. its an original replica. as soon my stickers arrive i will have about 2-3 customs cars. i converted the 4260 in a police car. i swapped out the heck and front ( they blue) with the ones from the ambulance 4223 (white) and got the printing off nicely. just waiting for the checkers and in 2 weeks when iam in germany i have access to my new label machine and i can do the police stickers. i hope it will look great and i will show them ofcourse
-
I await these Brit police cars with great anticipation!!!
-
An interesting project; I look forward to seeing more.
-
whhooop whhhhoooopp my first stickers arrived.. the checkers.. now i can modeify my cars.. thats the 4260 police car with changed front and back cover from the ambulance as they are white!
still missing the police writing but i need my labler which is already in germany for doing it, but i cant wait to show off :lol
the stickers are not cut properly yet doing my proper tools beeing in germany.. i know that sound kinda lame :)
-
oh these are looking good!!!
-
Very nice customs!!!!! Are you in the police by any chance if you dont mind me asking ? :) :) :) :)
-

nope. i was looking for a cool theme for my kickygate stuff and came across the idea of a uk visit and so i thought a police force would be cool

at the moment i got infected by the victorian fever so what is the best to do.. create a victorian police man :)
-
Well, the helmet's right but the rest of the uniform isn't.
Here's an example:
Faulty link - see later post

Whoa, something is seriously wrong with that link!

You're right! Try this:

and this instead:

the first link was ok.. yes they have coats with one line of buttons.. but to be honest its difficult to find in a playmo figure as when i remember correct only the northern soldiers have 1 or 2 designs of that..

How about:

As it is, your custom just looks like someone wearing a policeman's helmet, maybe a Victorian toff who's pinched one for a lark on a Saturday night.

so thx. they actually to buy at the uk ds very cheap. the figure. anyeay, i go in town now and try to get a few uncle sams!
later!

i go in town now and try to get a few uncle sams!
later!
What?
-
Uncle sams? Do you mean chimney sweeps?
-
no, just was on teh way to get those surprise bags.. after 90 min and 7 boxes i got this, nearly what i wanted. only the stoneage woman is missing but i cant feel this figure :lol
-
Oh, awesome! So you were able to feel them! The stone age woman would be the one with a baby in it. :P Or do you mean you weren't permitted to feel them?
-
no, i was but its not that easy.. only could feel that uncle same because the hat was easy and the other one through the bag shape.. but i looked for the stoneage woman.. kinda difficult..
but no one said anything.. yet. iam back in 2 weeks and have another go!
-
but the funny part was.. all 3 woman figures have to many parts in the bag.. one got a second wig, the other one a second hat and the other a second feather..
looks like they are more likly to miss parts!

so, i found a simple solution with a belt for 1 item
