What do ytou think in terms of a custom set up - using this GIJoe carrier - its massive and create a carrier playmo .. seeriously what do you think people worth considering?
-
If you like WWII stuff and it fits with Playmobil, I think I would get it. (If I had the money. ::) )
However, I see no comparison pictures to make sure we know how big it is exactly.
So I do not know if it would fit with Playmobil. ???
-
I say if you are really interested in having something like this you could make one out of System X. I am more a purist and do not like mixing different brands. For the asking price you could buy all the parts out of playmobil you needed
-
It goes to show that Playmobil could produce a much larger pirate ship when you see this monster! I can just picture it now,..........4 masts, 4 feet long, & water worthy,..... :cloud9:

YOOOO JOOOOE!!!!!
Sorry to say mate, the GI Joe USS Flagg can't be used at all for playmobil... it does not fit the specifications... What would you place on it? ??? medieval, egyptian, romans?
nonono... being a huge GI JOE fun, the only guys who can use this set up are the ones in the attachments ;D
@warrior: you can see how big it is from the Admiral Keel Haul action figure... its actually massive!!!! It can host 4 to 5 Conquest X-30 ... http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/86/conquest/ and boy, they are big!!!!
-
Wolf Knight that link showed it only cost $90 back in 85. I never remember seeing this anywhere in stores in our area. That is quite a bargain even back then for such a huge ship
-
Hmmm I don't recall seeing these original retail prices before in the yojoe website... $90 was indeed a great bargain!!! gi joe were always sooooo expensive here in greece... :'(
-
I think it is way too expensive. The only usable part for Playmobil would be the
flight deck. The conning tower, "island" is a bit out of Playmobil scale I think.
For those big bucks, you could build a mighty fine 8 foot carrier in Plamo scale ;D

These GIJ's figures are impressive Sir Wolf. I have seen this ship , there was one toy store in athens only , just one back in the early 90s in a very good area where expensive imported toys were available, i bought from there my original advanced dungeons and dragons fortress of fangs which cost a fortune back then , very expensive , that carrier was there also and was the biggest boxed toy they had , it was a crazy price i dont remember exactly how much but i did a calc and its equivalent to about 900euros today. I remember seeing it and drooling ... impressive super toy of the era.. respect !!! i think it will look awesome with modern klickies ,something quite spectacular and dont get me wrongo Ras i share your views on original playmos , after all i am a hardcore steck and old style playmos to the core BUT rules are there to be broken and this carrier is getting more and more interesting .....

I know it is large, I saw a chair in the back. :o
But I am concerned about how big it is compared to Playmobil.
Would a Playmobil be too big to fit in there?
Or would it seem much to small compared to all the equipment?
Can you show us the difference in size between one of your GI Joe figures, and a Playmobil?
-
i think GIJ scale and playmobil scale are well compatible, i havent got any GIJ's here perhaps Sir Wolf can put next to each tother these figures
-
Sorry guys, my GI Joe figures are all in the display cabinet at my parent's house... but, I can tell for certain, that a GI Joe figure is a forhead, if not a whole head, taller than a klicky. and its certainly slimmer
So the klicky fits on the Flagg as long as hight is concerned but its a bit bulky compared to the delicate gi joe figure... at least the old 80's early 90's figures.. because the late 90's and 2000 until todays gijoe figures ... are not that good quality made.
-
btw, here is another attachment to give you an idea of its size ;)
-
Where is little johnny?
oh he is in the bath.
Oh ya, well I looked in there and all I saw was some kind of huge boat.
go look under it ;D

556.75 EUR is a steal - you should def. buy this beauty and build a steck port for it
-
it is a steal and looking at it again this morning its plastic rubbish. Playmobil Rules. I am going to get a massive confederate order next and after that redcoats . or before the confederates , i havent decided ... i could buy half of each but you know me.. no half measures and overdoing it is my word. I had a quote from playmobil for 300 redcoats ( i have about 50 ) , 2o western cannons and 50 redcoat officers ( will serve as cavalry) .. need to deciced whereares i get these or lots of confederates soldiers .....

i couldn“t say it better. and see it this way. now you saved more than 500 euro you can spend for playmobil :)9

Well.....I have a lot of things at 1/18 scale.....from Century Toys, World Pacemakers, Soldier Force, Hasbro-Star Wars...and Ji Goe.....and all are more or less compatible.
For this ship....I think this is very small for the real scale and the price.....very hig.... :o
Two examples of little "birds".... :giggle:....one Sukoi and one Scorpion from Avatar-film.....they are perfect for Playmobil.....
-
That looks interesting...
-
way too small 8}
-
Yes....very, very small....
A small "carrier" like the Charles de Gaul....(similar to the Gi-Joe)...have about 260 mts. of length....this is about 13mts. length to scale 1/20..... ::) ;D
-
A Playmo-aircraft carrier would be nice, not much chance for it though since they don't do modern war.
If you'd buy this one, which aircraft from which brand would you use for your Klicky-pilots??

Interesting 2nd picture... a Su-27 NATO-codename "Flanker".
Or ist it a Su-30 or Su-35 variant? ;)
