Pretty cool.
And now, according to the wisdom of my 4yo, they can be married (since the green one is obviously the boy and the red the girl) and we can expect babies soon.

Oh am I jealous, I want one of those. I would have tried harder for it back when it was first available if I had realized it was going to be so limited a run.

I don't think the "real" Nessie is "real"  but it is supposed to look like a plesiosaurus.

Which reminds me, there's no playmobil plesiosaurus in the dinosaurs collection :P

Yeah, I guess i've always thought of Nessie more like that, too. I do believe in Nessie, bigfoot, and chupacabras.
Title: Re: At last a Red Nessie!

I am on the fence,
though I am threatening to fall into the realm of believing.
(For Bigfoot/Yeti, and Nessi or other lake monsters.)

There have been a number of photographs,
but they could be explained by several other things.
There are videos too, but the same problem.
The thing is there are so many!
No definitive proof, but when so many people have seen it...?

The same for Yeti or Bigfoots (bigfeet? ;)),
did you know there are over 2,000 different casts of Yeti tracks. :o
And if you go to Nepal and around the Everest region,
the people there think of the Yeti as a real animal.
There is no doubt in their mind it actually exists.

Then of course there is that 2 entirely different cultures have seen these beasts,
and have legends of them dating back for a long time...
(before the modern world, so they never would have interacted.)

There are sightings all over the world of similar creatures that we call myths,
but I find it hard to dismiss these as just myths because: "We haven't found them yet."

wel...I only believe in live out of earth. Im not the monster believer kind. :-\

Until the early 1900s, gorillas were believed to be just a myth or legend. Scientists couldn't find proof they existed.

yes but now we are far from that era regarding the evolution of science and scientific knowleged. Surely there are thing we havent' discovered yet, but still...

Except unlike those, at least the Yeti is much more realistic.
It has many of the same qualities of a gorilla,
and we know that a couple thousand years ago there were giant gorilla like creatures in the reigon.
It is therefore not unlikely that there could be decedents living in the mountains of Nepal,
which is a very wild and uncharted area.
Besides, the ancient Greeks did not have cast footprints,
and teams of modern scientists backing the theory that a Yeti could exist.

Thank you Luis! This was an exclusive only to the Zindorf fun park, i think, back in 2007. and that was it!

Just for completeness, it was not FunPark exclusive, I got mine regularly from german DS.
It was listed as a "monthly special offer" sometime last year (dont remember exactly).
Oh, it goes for 30 Euros at ebay? I should put mine on sale then, eh?  :P

best,
socrates

Well, it fills much space in my animal box. And as my wikings-box is overcrowded as well and I do not have a bathing tube to let it swin there, the little red one might be better of with another collector. ;)

Ras and BB

If yo udont mind waiting for a bit until i put together my first DS order then i can get  you each a red nessie . BUT please ber in mind i wont have my DS order ready for at least  another month or so as all my instructions are at my master playmoden and i am more focused with my playmobil free time in constructing my mediaval set up as the DS order will take a full day probably at least . So if you dont mind waiting i will get them for you but bear in mind that will be quite a few weeks away probably early june or so ....

It looks like I am going to be able to attend the meeting in Zirndorf with the pilot group board members and Playmobil staff. So I can check the Funpark Shop and if they are still there pick up a couple of extra to bring back with me. This is looking like the end of May or so.

Well I have been patient and really did not expect to get one of these so even if it took six months I would hardly mind. It is like the blue truck that we never got here, if I get one I consider it a great bonus but not something I expect.

Let me know and I will get funds to you through PayPal or bank transfer .  :wow:

Red is an excellent colour for the Playmo dragons (just like Smaug in LOTR) but I think it looks rather odd on a water-living beastie. :-\

I have to say, the two "Nessies" do look pretty cool as a pair though...  ;D
