Title: Does anyone know how to repair stick shooting cannon?
Post by: Ds dad on February 25, 2011, 18:14:06
Hi all,

I don't know if I am alone in this but I find the present Playmo cannon extremely frustrating.  When they are new they work well but after not much play they do not hold the projectile in place either misfiring or not holding it at all.  Has anyone figured out a reliable way to stop this?  With the limited exporatory work I have done the probelm seems to be with the cannon not the projectile but how to fix it?

You can open the canon.Use a small screwdriver to open it by pushing gently the two clips near the trigger.Inside it you will find a spring (sometimes in a plastic cylinder) the small plastic pieces that fits in the back of the canon.Watch the mechanish.Usually by pressure the small part of the cannon is missplaced or the spring is somehow curved (not when there is also the plastic cylinder).I can give you a typical line to fix it because you are going to find the of error.I usually fix the canon for my son to hit further.A good cannon must reach  a meter when you pointing the house roof.I hope to understand my english.Pm me if i can help you more.Good luck

Something I am doing is to put the canonball inside and when it locks (without stop pressing) I am pushing the trigger forward. This way it locks.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll have to disassemble one again and have a closer look. I'll let you know how it goes.
