Hi
Has anyone else had this problem -Both shoes snapped their toe caps and heel clips off-
This was one of the first specials I bought so I thought maybe I did something wrong, but I purchased 2 more about a year later and the same thing happened.
I was extra carefull, but it seems like the plastic they are made from is brittle, could be the metallic color mixed with the base color plastic made it sensitive to pressure.
BTW.. I have the older yellow diver male and his shoes are same ( I think )
his shoes fit fine.
I search the forum before posting, but found nothing related to my question.
Thanks for any info ;)

I have the shoe pieces in yellow, red, & white if you need that set to be functional & don't care about matching colors.

I have only one of those and YES, only one of the shoes broke :(
The astronuats from the 80's also have this kind of shoes and though they sometimes broke, most of them are fine. it could be the plastic, yes :)

Bummer!
I have that one incoming, so I really can't share any experience yet. But now I'm worried ???.

Use a hair dryer to warm the shoe plastic before installing, making the plastic more pliable. I don't recommend removing & installing them constantly due to the plastic type used in manufacturing.

just put your finder at the back of the shoe and gently press. That should make it.
oh, I just saw Bill's answer... taht could work too!

My solution was effective, but brutal.
CAREFULLY put a shoe on. You might need to buy Ø4 (or more) sets to get it right.
Take a drill with the SMALLEST bit you can find. (Yes, this got very bad very fast.) find the smallest screw you can. Drill through the shoe, into the foot, and screw the shoe TO the foot. Now insert the weight into the shoe. You’re now stuck with feet wearing the shoes, but they won’t disintegrate over time (or at least not as likely).
I also spliced the tending line to the top of the helmet.

What if you just glue it? ???

Glue was the first thing that crossed my mind.

Am I to understand that the toe area at the front of the weighted shoe broke also along with the rear tab? If this has occurred, it may be more of a complicated repair.

Pics would help the guys give you an idea of what to do.

I have the same problem and I went back to the store, putting the shoes on and it happened on 6 boxes of them. I finally gave up as the local store is not helpful at all. It is not about the look at all, but the safety!! The cracked pieces are especially dangerous and would shoot to a person's eyes when they break!! I hope playmobil could recall ALL OF THEM.

Sorry to resurrect a really old thread, but I was wondering if any new techniques have been discovered in the past few years.
I broke the original shoe covers and recently order more from DS (sadly they only had 2 in stock, so I have no extras). Do you think hot water would work? I don't have a hair dryer.
