Here's a place I wouldn't expect Playmobil to show up at, but it has!

Hey, it's a start.
I should check the stores and see if they have more in the stores.
It looks like Playmobil Canada is sure distributing a lot of retired merchandise for Christmas. Winners, London Drugs, Canadian Tire. Has anyone seen any more Playmobil sets around Canada at different retailers?
-
Save-On Foods and Superstore both have the Dragon Rock set but that's all for PM. Sears has 7 sets showing on the web site (sears.ca) - just a very small selection from the catalogue. I haven't seen any in their stores.
I was in Canadian Tire today but I didn't see any Playmobil... and it was one of their big stores. I will have to check again sometime soon... though I'm sure why as I'm not thinking of buying that pirate ship.
I did buy a circus set today at Winners (4233 animal trainer) - my first circus theme set (and probably my only one... I am one of those that think clowns are scary!) But this set could be useful in a gladiator diorama.
It's good to see playmobil showing up at more stores but I'd like to see some of the "exclusive" sets or more blister packs!

I am still kicking myself about the Playmobil Superstore had about 7 or 8 years ago.
They had the Super Sets like the 3909 ...

Aye, I would like to see more blister packs too! They've had some nice ones out but we do not seem to get them here and it's a bit of a drive to the nearest Target store ...
I agree with you about the clowns ... maybe they could be used in the arena ;)

Talk about a surprised find. I never though that could happen. Maybe Canadian Tire will become Canada's Target Stores.....I'm thinking exclusives.....

I took a look at target.com and they only have one Playmobil set in stock. Does anyone from the USA know if Target is getting out of the Playmobil end of things?

Not here they don't. ???
My local target has 20-30 sets available.
Which unfortunately is actually pretty good around here. :-\
There was a debate about whether or not Target was getting out of Playmobil,
Right before we got wind of the voting,
and thus the Collectors club. ;)

Yeah, in my city, one target has no playmobil, and the other has lots of it, including the US exclusive safari sets. So who knows?

 Yes, and they won't tell me!

Target has to keep selling playmobil! Rumour has it that Target will open a lot of stores in Canada over the next few years... and what's the point of having yet another foreign store chain here if they're aren't at least going to sell my favourite toy!
But looking at their web site does not look good for the future of Playmobil at Target with so few sets on there now. Then again, this years "exclusives" were only an early release of the regular line for 2011 so maybe Target gave that a pass?

There have been rumours about Target coming to Canada for years. I used to be excited about it because of the Playmobil and other toys (ie GI Joe 12 inch, Ultimate Soldier, 21st Century Toys 1/32 and 1/72 scale military) but without the Playmobil ...
