DATE MASAMUNE (1566-1636) referred to in Stephen R. Turnbull's book as the 'One-Eyed Dragon' from Tohoku (his trademark is the crescent moon helmet crest he wore...looks like I've to steal that helmet from the other samurai I made

I love the hand armor on this one! ;D
(Well actually on all of them, I just have forgotten to comment on it before.) ::)
Also the wire on his spear is great too! :o

I like the interpretative idea of the scale-mail armor,

I try not to make more but it difficult not to :P
...its like making more romans with the old roman specials while waiting for the new romans to arrive a few years back
..there were so many samurai armies, there's no end...but I dont want to end up with a huge a japanese shelf (waiting for a full-scale launch by geobra)

anyone heard or have seen drawings of the clan leader who uses a skull for his clan symbol? might be making him/them next if I can find some more reference drawings  ;)
